Pretty much. If US insists on this logic I'd rather just buy additional Eurofighters. We produce our own domestic munitions, not being able to use our own weapons on jets we paid for is just non-sensical.

Agreed. An F-16 shot down an Su-35 in Ukraine and F-16 is an inferior platform to the Eurofighter. Eurofighter may not be 5th gen but its still a top of the line aircraft and superior to the Rafale.

Haluk Görgün says the range has been extended. Tayfun's range was announced as 800KM during last summer's IDEF. I guess it would be safe to say Tayfun is nearing the 1000KM mark, or is already there.
