Only thing Tayyip improved in this entire universe is Turkish state policy on cigarettes.

His performance on all other issues ranges from not enough to catastrophic failure.

He is also from rize. He can't ever be based.

Bu M48ler serviş dışı kaldığında hullarını başka şeyler için kullanmayı düşünüyor mu tsk?
Leopard 1lerin hulları araç kurtarma için falan kullanılıyordu.

You be proud of your avatar, buddy! In the end, it's all you got.
The reign of your buddies will not be eternal, in fact their short time in republics history will be remembered as the dark chapter of an otherwise amazing story.

Turkish people are really strange when it comes to politics. Most of us are as fanatic as if they support their football team.

Whenever I like something, or praise for instance our defense industry there comes a dude and accuses me of being a covert AKP supporter. When I make remarks about how bad the economy or agricultural politics are I become a blind opposition CHP freak.

You guys should chill a bit, no any party is pure black or white and we should not regard the parties as football teams (supporting them fanatically). It is in all our interest that we support the good things and criticize the bad (unrelated to partisanship). Good is good, bad is bad no matter whether AKP or CHP or any other party is involved in it.

Do you really think I'd care about Erdogan's persona?

Just for your information, this is Turkey so don't count your chickens before they hatch because the dynamics on the ground are changing once again.

From my recent ask arounds, I can deduce that people are slowly gravitating back towards AKP.

1. IYI party votes fell almost 50% after her recent hassle.
2. Muharrem Ince is taking his share from patriotic Kemalists.
3. AKP is uniting the conservative and religious votes (YRP, HÜDA-PAR etc.) behind her. Saadet Party voters are appaled by KK. It looks like only the actual members in the HQ of SP are supporting KK.
4. MHP is changing his tune and is now courting right-wing voters. Many former MHP voters are turning back to their roots.

Last but not least, you guys are constantly making one big mistake:

AKP and Erdogan are not synonymous. Erdogan's person is still very popular among the Anatolian masses and the educated conservative upper class. KK still has his image of an incompetent and unfit leader.

To give you some international examples:

There was one famous poll in Germany where 70% of the population was unhappy with the government's work while in the same poll 70% of the voters stated support for Merkel. People tend to differentiate between the government and the head of the state even though the former is responsible for the governing.

tl;dr

Right before the elections, the Turkish populace has still not made up its mind which empirically is almost always a good sign for the party occupying the office.

I am not talking about this election, just in general, things will go even more down the drain in the coming years, if AKP loses then the successors will get blamed for the shit thats been caused in the last two decades and if not things will go down the drain even worse.
Turkey as a country is between a rock and a hard place and deep down everybody knows, (apart from hardcore comars with barely enough brain cells to breathe), who is at fault for this mess.

But the new generation doesnt want anything to do with the conservative mentality that has droven the country into this mess, so as long as the boomers die out i dont worry about AKP and its mentality holding to power.

Thats not true Islamophobia existed in the Turkish republic long before Erdogan came to power.

Due to this that actually propelled Erdogan to come to power.

Conservatives now have a man that has come to power from their own even if he was born in Istanbul but his mother and father come from Rize.

You look at it objectively, Turkiye is not a communist nation where it goes and destroys religion with brutality and ruthlessness.

But our model in dealing with religion seems to be inspired by France.

French they dealt with religion was pretty bloody and genocidal.

Good thing Turkiye avoided such things.

Tbh It would have been more effective against these islamists who Impose their own ideology and religious stuff to others.
%99 percent of the youth supports the french idea of dealing with religious fanatics

You either burn the root or let it spread
