i think it was mainly because of Montella's game plan. he wanted to control the game rather than wearing and tearing from the right by baris and putting Arda in the center playmaking. Not a good game, not fun to watch but we needed just to go through and we did it after 24 years later. That's cool

They beat Italy on penalties to go to World Cup. Italian media was in a state of euphoria. i've seen clips where Italian commentators were joyfully jumping as if they had already passed Bosnia. Regardless nationality, I hate arrogance. so, yeah justice was served and it make me feel good.

For Italy man its 3 in a row where they wont be going to the world cup.

Its a nightmare as Italy is a heavyweight in football alongside France, Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Spain.

I dont recognise England as a football heavyweight at all. Yeah the Premier League is thr best in the world and nobody can deny how good English teams are like Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City. But this does not translate to a good national team.

Remember their so called Golden era boys. Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and others wbat a utter waste of a generation that was. Paul Scholes left the English national team because all the players cared about was their egos and star plays. Scholes came from Sir Alex Fergusons academy and teaching that why he was fustrated he wanted to play as a team.
