Next, there will be state tests of the radar, which are primarily designed to work together with the Neptune coastal missile system.

Preliminary tests of the Mineral-U mobile multifunctional radar complex have been carried out in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Palace of Culture Ukroboronprom.

It is noted that according to the results of the tests, Mineral-U was recognized as corresponding to the declared tactical and technical characteristics. Next, there will be state tests of the radar, which are primarily designed to work together with the Neptune coastal missile system.

At the first stage, specialists checked the technical parameters of each part of the Mineral-U complex separately, in particular, the transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, delay time, and technical properties.

During the second stage, the equipment was installed on the chassis, after which it was tested as a whole: target detection range, operation in a wide range of frequency ranges, complex mobility, and other parameters.

RLK Mineral-U was developed by the Research Institute of Radar Systems Kvant-Radar. This radar complex detects and classifies surface objects at a distance of 500-600 km thanks to a passive channel, it can also conduct additional reconnaissance using an active channel. Mineral-U was first demonstrated to the general public on August 24 during a military parade in Kiev dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
