Aliyev seems to have stood up to Turkey with his recent statements. It looks like he doesn't want to side with Turkey in a potential tenisons with Israel. I am really sad about this

Pro-government newspapers in Azerbaijan clearly stated that Turkey was the target. No need to beat around the bush

some of Turkish political elite claiming the Karabakh victory as their own is an insult to nearly 3000 Azerbaijani soldiers that gave up their lives retaking the land, specially when Azerbaijan not only pays for all the weapons at market prices but also provides Turkey with energy below market prices.

Turkish support in 40 days war was much much more than providing weapons at market prices. It included providing stuff from army stocks, providing spares from army stocks, sending in specialists, sending in stuff that was earmarked for army needs thereby incurring multiple embargoes due to foregoing end user agreements, sending in fighter aircraft to be used as a tripwire against russians and iranians, providing intel support, providing HUMINT support, and providing actual generals and few more stuff.

3000+ Azerbaijani soldiers did die to reclaim their homeland, that's not in contention. But saying all that was "done at market price", as if Azerbaijan had anyone else to get all that stuff from is just in bad taste. This has all gone out of hand, it's not necessary.

both Azerbaijan and Turkey support each other, however some of the higher ups in Turkey putting Azerbaijan on list like Libya and Syria, like Azerbaijan is some sort of militia and only managed to win Karabakh due to Turkey is insulting to the nation, strategic alliance between Turkey and Azerbaijan is a mutually beneficial relationship, while some in Turkey are portraying it as a one way relationship.

He said, 'No one helped us, we paid for everything ourselves.' It's shameful to say this. We sent 2500 Syrian fighters, and 550 of them died as martyrs. Saying this between two brothers is disgraceful. I condemn Aliyev
