Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the “School of Aerospace Engineering of La Sapienza University of Rome (SIA)” and “Thales Alenia Space Italy (TAS-1”) on 29 May 2023 at the Conference Room of its Dhaka campus.
The aim of this MoU is to identify areas of collaboration on learning, teaching and research and development on space science and technology through collaborative initiatives. The MoU is part of BSMRAAU’s efforts to enhance its in-house capacity for providing quality education on aviation and aerospace studies and to carryout research in this field.
Professor Paolo Teofilatto of the School of Aerospace Engineering of La Sapienza University of Rome, Mr. Giorgio Spada of Thales Alenia Space Italia and Air Commodore Md Monirul Islam, Registrar of BSMRAAU signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at the signing ceremony.
The MoU is expected to open new horizon for collaboration, quality education and indigenous capacity building to accelerate and expand Bangladesh’s entry into the space age and benefit from the full spectrum of space science and technology.
Among others, BSMRAAU Pro Vice Chancellor, Distinguished Expert, Treasurer, Registrar, Deans, other faculties and officials were also present in the ceremony.
