While this train accident happened 10 years ago, the way the Chinese media was ordered to cover this accident has meanwhile seeped into the western (state)media. I've noticed for example that the Dutch state media has adopted the same way of downplaying newsworthy events, not only incidents and disasters but everything else in general, and especially politics and geopolitics.
This is a very bad influence from the technocratic proving ground that is China under the leadership of the CCP. The West is falling into a dangerous trap that I'm afraid will be very hard to get out of.
