Chinese brands cars now own 42.8% of the China domestic market, 6.5pp higher than its share in 2020
According to the latest data from CAAM (China Association of Automobile Manufacturers), sales of the Chinese-brands cars in the China domestic market reaches 5.6 million units during Jan. to Aug. 2021, 36.7% higher than the same period 2020. Share of the Chinese brands cars in the China domestic market in 2021 (Jan to Aug) now reaches 42.8%, which is 6.5pp higher than the same period 2020.2021年1-8月,中国品牌乘用车共销售561.2万辆,同比增长36.7%,占乘用车销售总量的42.8%,占有率比上年同期提升6.5个百分点。
