Turkish armored Yörük began its first mission in Africa

According to the information received by the AA correspondent, Nurol Makina, which has achieved export success with all the vehicles it has developed, continues this tradition with the Yörük 4X4.

Nurol Makina, one of Turkey's armored land vehicle manufacturers, introduced the Yörük 4X4 for the first time with the slogan "will open a new era in its class" at the International Defense Industry Fair in 2017.

During the development, testing and production preparation activities for Yörük, requests were received from many countries. Nurol Makina signed the first export contract for the Yörük 4X4 before the serial production preparations were completed. The number of countries with which export contracts were made for the Yörük 4X4 rose to 4 in a short time.

The first user of Yörük 4X4, which was introduced in different countries and regions within the scope of production preparation and marketing activities and subjected to rigorous tests, was an African country. The images of the Yörük 4X4 while serving on the streets of Chad were reflected to the public. Chad had recently added the Ejder Yalçın 4X4 armored combat vehicles, also produced by Nurol Makina, to its inventory.

Nurol Makina, which is preparing for the deliveries of Yörük 4X4s for its other customers, continues its new export negotiations.

A new page in the light armored vehicle

Designed for the use of security forces and military units, the Yörük 4x4 promises its users the highest level of mobility and protection performance in the light armored vehicle class. The vehicle provides a high level of ballistic and mine/hand-made explosive protection that can be changed according to user wishes.

The vehicle, which has a V-shaped monocoque body, can operate quickly and with high maneuverability in rural and urban areas with its advanced powertrain.

Thanks to its modular design, Yörük 4X4 can take on roles such as combatant, personnel carrier, air defense and reconnaissance vehicle in high-intensity conflict environments.

Thanks to its higher speed and superior protection compared to other vehicles in its segment, Yörük 4x4 can also be used as a protection vehicle in VIP convoys.

The vehicle can be equipped with weapon systems such as 7.62 and 12.7 mm machine guns, 40 mm grenade launchers, air and anti-tank weapons.

With a weight of 8 tons and a carrying capacity of 4 tons, Yörük 4X4 can carry up to 7 personnel.

A pickup version of the Yörük 4X4 was also developed in order to carry safe materials and ammunition in difficult weather and terrain conditions. Yörük pickup can also be used as a weapon carrier to provide fire support to its user.
