Experience the driverless rail transit "Yunba" in Bishan, Chongqing city in SW China
The unmanned rail transit "Yunba", known as "Bus in the Cloud", opened its doors in Bishan District, Chongqing City. This is a small-volume rail transit system that uses on-board electric power drive and unmanned driving technology. It is a brand-new transportation technology independently developed by China, which will effectively solve urban short-distance and small-volume travel.
At Xiuhu Park Station in Bishan District, Chongqing, a 8.3-meter-long and 2.4-meter-wide "Yunba" line steadily stopped on the track. Passengers entered the station and got on the train by swiping cards and scanning QR codes. This Yunba main line is 15.4 kilometers long and has 15 stations, all of which are elevated stations. The starting point is in the square in front of Chongqing Bishan High-speed Railway Station, and the ending point is Bishan Station of Chongqing Metro Line 1. The starting price is RMB 2 and the full fare is RMB 4. There are many local city parks along the way. When riding the bus, passengers can enjoy the scenery outside the car window.
