Officially, the acquisition of F-35 from Greece is starting to enter orbit.
Excerpt from an interview with the US Ambassador to Greece:

We will have a team from the U.S. Air Force, from the F-35 program office coming here to Athens next month precisely to provide the Greek government with informational briefings on the requirements for moving forward with the F-35 program.
I have said on a number of occasions that it’s roughly a five-year timeline from the signature of the LOA, the Letter of Offer and Acceptance, to the delivery of the aircraft.

Biden Administration Allegedly Suspends F-35 Transfer to Greece to Promote Diplomatic Resolution with Turkey​

The transfer of F-35 aircraft to Greece has been temporarily halted by the Biden administration. This decision is a response to Turkey's opposition to Sweden's inclusion in NATO, especially following an incident involving the burning of the Koran write Dana Levi on her Twitter feed.​

By suspending the transfer, Washington aims to placate Ankara and potentially secure Stockholm's membership in the Alliance. The United States is taking these actions to foster diplomatic relations and maintain peace.

Greece to get 40 F-35 fighter jets from US, opposition asks for clarifications

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken sent a letter over the weekend to the Greek government greenlighting the purchase of up to 40 F-35 fighter jets as well as some “gifts” of military equipment no longer needed by US armed forces.

Greece’s defense ministry on Wednesday announced that US authorities have sent an official Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) regarding the procurement, by the latter, of the fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets for the Hellenic Air Force. According to reports, the LOA expires on June 9, 2024.
