Flying car "Pegasus" with vertical takeoff and landing on display at China's biggest airshow

It's said this is the only flying car which can take off vertically and it can also runs on road like a conventional car

A flying car able to take off and land vertically without a runway was unveiled to the public at China Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Wednesday. The vehicle developed by an Australian company, Pegasus, can speed up to 160 km per hour in the sky and 120 km/h on the roads. The CEO of Pegasus Mr Michael Yang said a vertical takeoff without a runway is an undisputable advantage of the ground-breaking model, making it suitable for usage in a big city, with a permanent lack of parking space and traffic jams.

Yang called the vehicle the 'Ferrari in the air', explaining that Pegasus plans to aim its product at Ferrari and Lamborghini users. On the presentation day alone, the car manufacturers received as many as 120 pre-orders. SOT, Michael Yang, CEO at Pegasus International Group (Mandarin): "The car is 190cm tall. The endurance is 450km and its speed can reach 160km/h in the air.

It is powered by #98 fuel. When it is running on the ground, the speed can reach 120 km/h. So, the car both operate in the air and on the ground." SOT, Michael Yang, CEO at Pegasus International Group (Mandarin): "Pegasus is the first flying car that can operate without track and can take off vertically. More importantly, it can operate in the air and on the ground. As we all know, in the international community, there are a few companies which are developing flying cars.

As they all need the track to take off and land, we are different from them." SOT, Michael Yang, CEO at Pegasus International Group (Mandarin): "This product is called 'Ferrari in the air'. The group with Ferrari, Lamborghini and private yacht is our potential customers. We target people in this level." SOT, Michael Yang, CEO at Pegasus International Group (Mandarin): "China International Aviation & Aerospace exhibition is the biggest in Asia and one of the top exhibitions in the world. The country attaches high attention to it. A lot of professions in the field will attend. We would like to promote our products on the proper platform and China International Aviation & Aerospace exhibition is the best option for us."
