I think they dont need. But only reasonable explanition i have that. They try to show it deliberately because of one reason which i dont know. At this kind of military vehicIe expect to see at least a protection cover on it.

TCG Avrasya?

I think second ship should be named TCG Rumeli, not TCG Trakya. Rumeli has a meaning in Turkish historical subconsciousness unlike Trakya. Anadolu and Rumeli fortresses, Anadolu and Rumeli müdafaa-i hukuk cemiyeti, Anadolu and Rumeli kazaskers etc. They go together for a thousand year and resembles two wings of our nation.

Aselsan working with Tubitak Sage for Gökdeniz-ER which is in Consept/Design-Phase and there could be changes in the design. Real model could be displayed at the next fair, just like Gökdeniz in '19, even having undergone firing test?


Looks like we will have a Competition over the next 2 years for our RAM-Replacement. Roketsan with Levent I/II and Aselsan/Tubitak with Gökdeniz-ER.

But then which missiles would Gökdeniz-ER use if not Levent?


Most likely the effort will be joined together after a bit of pressure from SSB to get a satisfying replacement ASAP for the Navy.

Nazar can only engage one target at a time BUT it can track others in the meantime. After neutralizing its primary target it can quickly engage the secondary one. Comparable to ODIN of the USN.

Aselsan is working with Tubitak SAGE for the development of GOKDENİZ ER. This will likely mean that it will use Bozdoğan (Merlin) WVRM as a base for its development, which is excellent!
