Bullet can be traced like "gold"
"Graphene dot" technology applied on gold for the first time will also make it easier to track bullets.
According to the information received by the AA correspondent, Ahlatcı Holding subsidiary Nanografi Nanotechnology AŞ offered the "graphene dot" technology developed in high technology laboratories to the use of the defense industry.
The "graphene dot" refers to a special nanomaterial that is invisible to the naked eye and glows under UV light. "Graphene dot" applied on "gold" for the first time, has unlimited application areas from ammunition such as bullets, from plastic to metal, from electronics to vehicle spare parts, from cosmetics to medical.
"Graphene dot" can be easily applied to the cartridge in any shape and size desired by the manufacturer. The "graphene dot", which cannot be removed from the product thanks to its high strength, ensures that the product can be easily detected by each buyer with only one UV device. In this way, it is easily and practically understood within seconds whether the product is produced by the claimed company.

Yunus Emre Deli, Nanografi Business Development Director, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they have created new technology products with graphene, which they are currently mass-producing. Stating that the "graphene point" is one of them, Deli said, "Graphene is a material that won the Nobel Prize in Physics to its discoverers. We produce it in the highest level and quality in Turkey. We exported it to more than 80 countries with the figures of the last year. Among these, competitive markets are always available. there is." said.
Emphasizing that it is as important to protect the technology as it is produced, Deli said:
"This applies to all products. This situation has progressed from paper to large air systems. We first used the 'graphene point' on the gold we sent to jewelers and released to the market as Ahlatcı Holding. Millions of our products in the market are marked with a 'graphene dot'. Therefore, it is likely that it will form in the market. This is how we prevented abuses. We have already tested this technology, which we have already tested on gold and has been successfully applied, also on cartridges. In the defense industry, the ammunition pillar is subject to serious inspection and control. With a technology that will make this inspection and control even easier and practical, graphene We have strengthened this with the dot. We exhibited it for the first time at IDEF 2023. With this technology, the flares on which we apply the graphene dot can be seen and instantly verified with the help of a simple UV light without the need for any other application."

Explaining that they carried out an invisible application on the cartridge, Deli made the following assessment:
"Manufacturers' markings on cartridges with molds or presses could be copied. By making a marking that contains the second, third and fourth safety barriers that cannot be copied, we have made a marking that shines under UV light but is invisible and cannot be erased. In this way, both brand protection is achieved and mostly We also provide assurance regarding the origin of the product that has a problem at the customs gates. This will enable us to sell the products produced by our country abroad in a safer way, to ensure their mobility in the country, to better monitor the foreign market movements. "We are planning to apply it to production lines. This is a solution that can be applied to all sizes and surfaces produced by our country, from cartridges to ammunition. We will soon begin to implement this and integrate it into mass production."
