F-15 is a battle proven, and E serie is the most advanced/4.5 gen.

Rafale is also a very good multirole fighter, but it is expensive.

Says in the article that Indonesia is ordering 8 F-15EX. French Rafale is quite expensive tbh, but if you need them, then you need them.

Hmm, nice.
Maybe related, or maybe not.

But if our F-15EX deal got through and approved by the US senate, then it's all good.

"....into a fleet of F-15 fighter jets to be sold to an unnamed customer."

That's intriguing. Do they still sell previous variant of F-15 or they're fully focusing to just F-15EX?

Any other international customer pursuing Eagle 2 other than us?

Edit: I found korea, but It's more like US is the one who pushed it.

Considering that the USAF planned to have 144 F-15EX, I think it's unlikely that the older variants are still being offered - except for refurbished ones.

Israel?
They don't need to be so discreet about the buyer if it's just Israeli want to put Israeli systems on Israeli jets.

Sinkies, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi is in the list of the already user of Boeing F15 newest variant (SA, SG, SQ and Slam Eagle) and if it is mention Will integrated and to be while using Israel Made system to un named country (meaning it is new untested system at Eagle platform as required by the likely buyer), there is only Indonesia recently who had declared interest who likely fill the bid.

US, Israel is unlikely would be so discreet

Boeing still have backlog of F-15QA (Qatar variant) and Qatar doesn't have relationship with Israel.

So that makes the two of us (Qatar or Indonesia).

This part is interesting :

"will meet the demanding operational requirements of this valued customer"

So it's the "valued" customer that demands this particular anti-jamming system.

Still 50:50 ;)
