Going for more Rafale instead of F-15 may actually be better. It is much more cost effective to order more of the same type of fighter. You get economies of scale and easier logistics. This is the reason the French designed the Rafale as a multirole fighter to meet all their needs from air superiority and nuclear delivery to even carrier operations.

-range

Rafale pros:

-Streamlining of logistics
-access to Meteor


Actually I want TNI AU to go forward with the 24 F-15IDN and stop there while grow the Rafale fleet to a minimum of at least 72 airframes (a lot more is better of course).
