I proposed we called it 'Boatanized Infantry'



Depends on the protection level that it has. Does anyone know about it?

If it was intended to be used for 1st wave, IMO, it should have at least STANAG IV protection

4569 but dont know which level , assume they have the same armor plating for the bridge like the one in anoa.

Yup the bridge give impression that it get armor plating but the hulls just looks normal.

I believe its Pindad that is mostly working the bridge and the rest is done by Lundin, i am confident with Pindad that the bridge is strong enough to mount the turret and more importantly able to handle the recoil (for 105mm), they already have experience with armored vehicles.

I believe its Pindad that is mostly working the bridge and the rest is done by Lundin, i am confident with Pindad that the bridge is strong enough to mount the turret and more importantly able to handle the recoil (for 105mm), they already have experience with armored vehicles.

The Q is whether the army (or any services that will operate it) will use it as a spearhead/1st wave in a contested environment/beach like what Marine's Yontankfib will do

If not, Stanag III is 'ok'

Which level? That matters the most.
Assuming the turret is same as the one applied on land vehicles, it may have level 4 protection.
While i assume rest would have level 2-3, above that the armor can induce additional weight and space which will either affect space in hull or enlarge the outher shell and affect the total displacement, so morelikely it will be kevlar protection on the outer coating (which is mostly done as such for composite boats)
Composites (sandwiches) are usually more energy absorbent compared to the steel. With kevlar coating they can usually keep up to stanag II /III pretty easily.

IIRC during Indo Defence 2016, the spec said something about STANAG level 3 protection in critical sections.

Thats quite complex since some lcu can load dump truck inside her and also there is ocean going tugboat

what he mean by Tboat is tankboat , indonesia can fit 2 Tesco Indomaritim LCU which roughly had 24 meter length and almost the same width of that tank boat , so you could get a glimpse of answer if it can fit or not .

I see. So, it useless. Unless if Navy can come up with new and bigger platform. I thought at least 4 unit before.

Somehow I think that to guard our ALKI this version will be more effective than ground-based coastal anti-ship missiles. I don't mean that we don't need the latter, though. It's just that the AShM armed X-18s can fire their missiles while moving and, thus, position themselves to intecept enemy warships from any direction.
