The gist is Italian very much capable to build much of their own subsystem including the radar, gun and Missiles so there is almost complete package to secure transfer of knowledge from them on many subsystem. Indonesia had GCI radar projects, and likely Italian would secure the bag to assist us.

According to this Italian article PT PAL to build 3 units FREMM.

"As far as RID is aware, the first 3 FREMMs will be produced in Italy, as well as in Italy the modernization of the 2 MAESTRALE, which Fincantieri will acquire from the Navy once decommissioned, will be carried out, while the other 3 FREMMs will be built by the local PT PAL shipyard. More details in the next few hours and on RID 7/21."

They taken fincantieri's post as this reference, i will wait until official statement for production of 3 frigates in Indonesia.
It could be for maintenance and repair training as well.

Production of FREMM is nice but i worry it can danger IH's progress.

questions tough, how diversification of combat system going to effect training and placement of personnel onboard?

i don't know how we do rotation of personnel onboard/between ship (and i don't know how different tacticos/len derivative and athena cms are), but if our personnel rotate between ship doesn't that mean that they must master both combat systems? or we would assign them to master specific system?

from my experience operating two (or more) system is hard, when my company introduce mac into our factory, most of them are used to operating windows powered machine, the original plan is for them to learn to operate both system and hope that they would sufficient enough to operate mac alongside windows but after a few month we identify a problem and it effecting productivity on the plant.

our IT team conducted an review and find that they would operate a mac like it's a windows machine, likewise that they would operate a windows machine like it's a mac machine (especially on the older guy). we fix those problem by assigning specific system for them to operate, the one who got windows powered machine would only operate that and those who operate mac would only operate that.

Ofcourse lah, Dauphin is for civil use, ehy would we put on a warship, what we will put there the Panther one,

just joking, i know what you mean, the answer is maybe, most likely they will already put an upgrade to the rest of the Panther, or doing the repeat order, but idk if the navy want something more advance than the one that we have now

Usually navy not rotating CIC crew betwen ship, unless they promoted the crew from smaller to the bigger one and got a new training and system familiarized

It’s a plausible scenario that Prabowo want to have an aircraft carrier. That’s the only logical reason why he still pursuing the F-35. However, if he can’t get the F-35, he will opt to use Rafale M instead.
