@Anmdt , Indonesian Navy projected AH140 as air defense frigate. If Indonesia decide to pick Turkiye as radar supplier, what radars are your recommendations?

Depends on your budget and ETA;

Low budget, short term: CENK-S AESA - MAR-D AESA + 2 x AKREP (STIR).

Medium budget, medium term: CAFRAD - CFR (Multi-function radar) module 4x + rotating CENK-S.

High budget, long term: Full CAFRAD suite with integration of Indonesian GC radar in place of the UMR (Long range radar) module of CAFRAD.

It's okay if they try other suppliers but if they just gonna end up with Thales radar and censors then just stick with Tacticos.

They reduced the number of AA missile to just 40 in total? I remember in previous leak it's more than 40...

What leak? Its official statement from PAL.

LoL dedicated aaw frigate with only 12+12 vls for sam, better stick with Danishiver config actually 24+32 sam, unless something hinder PTPAL using mk41 vls in this ah140ID

I've always stress the issue on our side ability to fill those VLS. Now it seems my concern has finally found an answer.

They make space for Brahmos ?
Maybe they choose Advent because Turkiye is more willing to integrate half Russian system then west European suppliers?

Its better to wait for the official announcement, currently its only just an "A1" information.

Dont forget that not too long ago someone said that the frigate will only be equipped with MICA.

Always treats those infos with a pinch of salt.

They can upgrade the design with greater armaments for the second batch.
You are quite confident that there will be repeat order.

For now, let's finish the first batch without shitshow like what happened to Malaysian frigate project.
Agree, we need to prepare it carefully even if it will cause a slight delay, several months delay is still better than years or decades delays or worst not finished at all.

I don't really care about the specs as long PT PAL can build it and gaining much needed experience. They can upgrade the design with greater armaments for the second batch. For now, let's finish the first batch without shitshow like what happened to Malaysian frigate project.
Yes as long as they deliver it on time. Thats my expectation

Talking about AAW and VLS

Where are we with the long overdue plan to replace Bung Tomo Class VLS with MICA?

Iirc, the current VLS could support MICA. But we don't have spare missile.

Dunno, but imo, navy should reduce anti ship vls by half and double the long range VLS silo. Warships are best suited as escorts (as they had always been), ship killing should be relegated more to the air force.

They have to lower their ego first.

....uuh, ship launched Brahmos theoretically can strike land target too, isn't it?

Yes. But its not the smartest way to sail your boat near enemy shore (with MTCR restrictions) and try your luck to unload fire and try to flee undetected.

Around 8 to 10 billion US Dollar yearly budget would not get your Navy anywhere better. Money is not everything but without money you can't do anything significant. Building a potent Naval posture is expensive and need long term political and budget support, as long as your political engagement is always posturing on land Border issue and internal issue you would not get such support to build a potent Navy. This condition reflected fully on how our military budget dispersed, Army always get the lionshare in which political related KODAM and Koramil formation taking a lot of budget, Navy and Airforce only get little share compared to what they need.
