YesThe UEA MRSS order based on the 163m?
I dont think we would continue the submarine work with DSME. Maybe there are some agreemants between two countries to compensate by doing other project such as additional T50i or something else and agree to put this issue die in cold and in a quiet way.View attachment 48684
Press release from Naval Group regarding MoU between Naval Group and PT.PAL, the contract signed in 2019 regarding 2nd batch of DSME 1400 ( financed approximately 1.1 Billions USD from Korean Exim Bank ) is in limbo since the contract isn't effective yet not cancelled either.
It's not going to be that simple, cancelling such big order.I dont think we would continue the submarine work with DSME. Maybe there are some agreemants between two countries to compensate by doing other project such as additional T50i or something else and agree to put this issue die in cold and in a quiet way.
Let the Changbogos lot go for Philippines Navy, alsoI dont think we would continue the submarine work with DSME.

A lost opportunity back then but nothing to regret as untill today we are far from being ready to operate one. I made an update in Army section about Pussenkav evaluation of Indian Army Arjun MBTs and T-90 also in Air Force section about Offset for PT.DI on C-130J, UAV CH-4 and Rafale acquisition.
If everything like in Rapimnas, then the Navy would ordered Scorpene class, U214 class and KSS1 at almost the same time
So still go for nagapasa/changbogo?KSS1
Ah140ID, UEA MRSS 163m, Tarlac batch ii* tbc, ...., and this : we'll gona make "kapal induk". Wonder how long it will takesJust give us the real fregat first but this
we want to make LHD 244? for F 35 B right?
Just give us the real fregat first but this? what are they talking about? LHD or what?
No, not yet.No sign about Malaysian order here??
You don't cancel something like this easily, not while we have mistakenly signed for them in 2019. Cancelling such an order generates bad standing for Indonesia in international defence market and IMO by signing 2nd contract we force both side, PT.PAL and DSME to conduct deeper studies on problems in existing 3 units thus fixing the problems. So still go for nagapasa/changbogo?
There more consideration if navy were to have one. Navy will need to have its own air wing, its own appropriate escort and consider the painful upkeep of ship this size and complexity.
Dirut PT. Pal, the same person who boasted about having the capability to build an unmanned submarine driven by AI after Nanggala tragedy last year.We have an aspiration, simply an aspiration while in reality
As i said previously we are not ready though we have that aspiration. Btw 2 weeks ago my group arranged a meeting between Chaebol from SK ( investors for new capital ) and owner of 2 5 star hotels in Jakarta ( i myself is a physician currently in Papua so observe the reports from my colleagues in field ), from Chaebol side we overheard discussion about DSME 1400 / KSS-1 ( we didn't really care much about it since our group focus on hotels acquisition not submarines ).Dirut PT. We have an aspiration, simply an aspiration while in reality Naval Aviation isn't ready, the infrastructure isn't ready, Escort Fleet isn't ready, we are not ready but we do have that aspiration.
We used to have an aspiration for Su-35 and now look at our situation, don't put your expectation too high.I have an aspiration to spend a night with Margot Robbie.
I hope this is not that kind of aspiration.
