By the end of 3rd quarter 2020, our foreign debt was $408.5 bil, which represents 38.1% debt to GDP ratio. Long-term loans accounted for 89.1% of the current outstanding debt.

Assuming that we need $30 bil to buy all of the items on the list (especially the big tickets), our debt will increase to about $440 bil or about 41% debt to GDP ratio. So the $30 bil correlates to about 3% GDP.

Our military spending in 2019 is about 0.9% GDP. If we can get long-term loan for this additional 3% GDP spending to meet all the items in the list I think we can still afford it. It's probably going to be spread to about 0.3% - 0.4% GDP per year.

This look stupid to the max, Our old school but reliable PASGT helmet is great. They had survived many type of condition and ruthless terrain since Aceh Darmil in 1990's till nowadays fight in Papua. If they want new helmet just get one black MICH type helmet like the Army had, better had black colored ones instead this rubbish

Who we will send them to fight for then ?? If we couldn't even guaranteed them safely delivered in the transportation process ??
Unnecessary loses of material and personel for the sake of vanity . Not to mention their preferences on " eastern " product that only makes thing harder during the acquisition process during this times of trouble .

Navy bought at least 12 new LST and many logistic vehicles like LCU, LPD and so on, all of them need adequate number of Escort vessels. Time to build more Frigates and Corvettes or OPV

CMMIW, i didnt want to be speculate then. But if it so, the chance of "Riachuleo"(again CMMIW) scorpene use as the basic hull and equipped with more durable Li-ion battery without the presence of AIP ?
Or its still AIP with Li-ion ?

we started to replacing our PASGT helmet to MICH one who already got rail on them (atleast on our frontline troops for now), so there's no need to add attachment to our old PASGT helmet

what is significant improvement using Lithium Ion battery over conventional lead-acid battery?
lithium were denser than lead-acid so it can store more mean longer range and got smaller packaging/size than lead-acid.
lithium also got better charging time than lead-acid and the price is going down right now considering the transition to electrification and more R&D spend to make lithium better.

Japanese even considering to throw out their sterling AIP and replacing all the batteries with lithium-ion one.

After using lithium, no need for AIP anymore.
