During the visit, Indonesian Navy officials directly inspected three domestic shipyards: PT Vista Maritim Indonesia, PT Batamec Shipyard, and PT Palindo Marine, located in Tanjung Ucang, Batam, Riau Islands.

The primary purpose of this visit was to conduct functional tests of the RBB 12 M vessel and receive presentations on the construction of the OPV 3 and KCR 60 vessels as part of the ongoing strengthening of the maritime defense equipment.

"As part of IDEF 2025, a contract for two MİLGEM İstif-class frigates was signed between TAIS Shipyards and the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, with the participation of our President, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün.

This agreement marks the first MİLGEM-class export to Indonesia and represents a proud step for our nation as a concrete manifestation of strategic maritime defense cooperation.

We wish this important collaboration, which crowns the shared vision of our two friendly countries in the defense field, to be beneficial."

To me it was, I had no idea this was coming.

Presented image is the same as Turkish loadout. With Cenk-300, Hisar and Atmaca, should have pretty nice commonality with FMP.

My guess is Indonesian Navy purchased F-517 and F-518 (or 516), based on mock-ups from the ceremony.

We don't know that. That model shown is from TAIS booth. Per news, they signed the deal with TAIS and SSB. Ships being built belongs to MSB the defence ministry, not SSB.

"Details of the deal signed today are not available. For the record, PT PAL and TAIS inked a MoU regarding I-class frigates last month, during Indodefence 2025 in Jakarta. However it is possible that the ships to be delivered to Indonesia are already in production in Turkyie: Instead of being delivered to the Turkish Navy, they would be transferred to TNI AL directly, in a similar fashion to what Fincantieri did with two PPA vessels initially set to be delivered to the Italian Navy. This allows for a quick delivery to the customer but creates delays in the renewal of the fleet for the navy of the selling country."
