Italian Navy decommissioned 36-year-old Maestrale class frigate ITS Espero on June 30, 2021, with a ceremony held at Naval Base in Taranto.
Espero (F 576) is the seventh ship of the Maestrale-class frigate of the Italian Navy. She was laid down on 1 August 1982 and launched on 19 November 1983 by Fincantieri shipyards. Commissioned on 4 May 1985 with the hull number F 576.

The Maestrale-class frigates were primarily designed for anti-submarine warfare (ASW), however, the ships are highly flexible so they are also capable of anti-air and anti-surface operations. Ships of this class have been widely used in various international missions, either under NATO or UN flag and during normal operations of the Italian Navy.
The ceremony was presided over by the Commander in Chief Naval Fleet Vice Admiral Paolo Treu. The ceremony was attended by local military, civil and religious authorities, and the former commanders and crew of the Espero. During the ceremony, the ship’s flag was handed over to Vice Admiral Paolo Treuit which will be permanently kept in Rome.

Seventh of the eight frigates of the Maestrale class, ITS Espero had played a fundamental role in many of the main international missions and operations with a total of 675,000 nautical miles traveled about 31 times the length equator.

Now three Maestrale class frigates remain in service;

Best guess so far,
  • new diesel, but still retain the GE LM 2500 (because they are the only viable option for marine gas turbine)
  • replacing the Teseo with Exocet,
  • and obviously getting rid of all the NATO electronics (EW) & crypto
  • lastly, I just hope they're also repainting everything along with cleaning up all the decks, bulkhead, etc, thus making the ship feel fresh & new again.
  • I also hope they refurbish the entire galley, particularly the caboose, along with brand-new cooking ware

I dont know how to refurbish the ship, is the ship must be stripped apart just like submarine overhaul or not.

Perhaps it is more save to stripped hull apart from any installed hardware and inspect every inch of the hull, minimize the cause of hazard in future operations.

along with brand-new cooking ware
Its likely kitchen is the most important aspect of the ship while on voyage.

Maestrale bakal disikat semua gak ya ntar?

What kind of computer? I think mostly computer aboard of a warship is not like the usual computer that people have that can be used for many thing, and mostly for specific purpose, even the appearance would be different.
Maybe there is small number of old desktop computer on there, while computer/processor dedicated for military purpose (radar system, cms, sonar, fcs etc) in CIC and other is embedded in the system it self and run on its own OS/program, maybe the one that have best performance is the one that handle the radar? And maybe the computer in the missile have the faster processing capability with good hardware (processor) and software(the program and programming language(assembly or C)).

Maybe @trishna_amrta know.

most likely no , we can go to the moon (saturn V) using an ancient processor , US Cold war cruise missile are known to use 8008 / 8080 series microprocessor for it's instrumentation , which probably you could find for a hefty price in online shop .

Technology have progressed greatly, now the electronic equipment that we use to access this forum have greater computing capability compared to moon lander.

Didn't crypto mining mostly about GPU, causing the cost to skyrocket, bad news for non crypto miner such as a gamer.

The Army and Navy have their own LST. At what occasion TNI AD will use TNI AL LST and not their own?

All combat system computer is very primitive spec compare to consumer standard and only made for processing what we usually call as "transactional data" (which is what combat is all about)

Its likely kitchen is the most important aspect of the ship while on voyage.
If only you knew what the typical look of our naval ship galley. Which is why I've mentioned the need for an entire new Italian designed & made cooking set

What kind of computer? I think mostly computer aboard of a warship is not like the usual computer that people have that can be used for many thing, and mostly for specific purpose, even the appearance would be different.

Combat Management System are typically use embedded system or 20 - 30 years consumer chipset from Intel. The main reason for this is for fault tolerance. The more complex a chipset, the less fault tolerance you will get.

most likely no , we can go to the moon (saturn V) using an ancient processor , US Cold war cruise missile are known to use 8008 / 8080 series microprocessor for it's instrumentation , which probably you could find for a hefty price in online shop .
As an example, i688 class boat Combat System are mostly powered by Intel 486 (the original). Although the latest USN supercarrier use IBM Z series

Didn't crypto mining mostly about GPU, causing the cost to skyrocket, bad news for non crypto miner such as a gamer.
It's depend on which cryptocurrency you intend to mine. Different currency require different method (chipset architecture) My own crypto miner rig (I got 2 of them, 1500 watt each) are ASIC miner which are powered by SoC (System on a Chip) rather than by GPU because I only mine Bitcoin. But those whose mine lets say Ethereum would want GPU based mining rig because they are more efficient to mine such currency, again it's about different tool for different job.

In my opinion, MoD should negotiated to license producing Bushmaster II Cannon and start to build and design RWS like Marlin or Aselsan smash to be used on our newly built Naval ships

Indonesia Navy commissions third Teluk Bintuni-class landing ship

by Gabriel Dominguez

The Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Laut, or TNI-AL) has commissioned its third Teluk Bintuni-class landing ship tank (LST) vessel.

Named KRI Teluk Youtefa (with pennant number 522), the 120 m-long ship entered service in a ceremony held on 12 July at the naval base at Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, according to a TNI-AL statement issued that same day.

Launched in May 2019 by local shipbuilder PT Daya Radar Utama (DRU), Teluk Youtefa has now joined first-of-class Teluk Bintuni , which was commissioned in June 2015, and Teluk Lada , which entered service in February 2019, as part of the TNI-AL's strategic sealift command.

Teluk Youtefa is part of a contract for three additional vessels of the class that was awarded to PT DRU in January 2017, with the other two LSTs – Teluk Palu (523) and Teluk Calang (524) – currently in advanced stages of construction and expected to enter service later this year.

Two more vessels of the class were launched in late February of this year.

Teluk Youtefa , which has a crew of 120, has an overall beam of 18 m, and a hull draught of 3 m. The ship is powered by two 4,320 kW STX-MAN diesel engines and can attain a top speed of 16 kt with a standard range of 7,200 n miles at 13.6 kt, according to the TNI-AL.
