MAB as a company is sus to me. They declared themselves as Mobil Anak Bangsa (Nation's car), but if you reverse image search their products on Baidu dot com, you can see it's Chinese vehicles. The founder is ex-military, he's not some visionary technocrat like Musk.

VKTR Inaugurates Electric Bus and Truck Assembly Plant in Magelang

The electric bus and truck assembly process includes various stages, starting from chassis assembly, welding, main assembly, body trimming, to final refinement. In terms of production, this facility has been able to produce electric vehicles with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) exceeding 40% for the bus category. This facility has a production capacity of up to 3,000 units per year.

This capacity is projected to meet the increasing demand for the domestic commercial electric vehicle market. So far, electric buses from VKTR have been ordered by a number of strategic partners such as Transjakarta which ordered through the Damri operator, while other units have been operated by Sinarjaya and Mayasari Bakti.

VKTR targets a gradual increase in TKDN to reach above 60%, accompanied by the expansion of production lines and strengthening Indonesia's position in the global electric vehicle supply chain.

Aletra Production in Purwakarta Runs Smoothly

There is another car brand assembled at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) assembly plant, namely Aletra.

As previously known, Aletra is an Indonesian brand that rebadged one of Geely's Sub-Brands, namely Livan. Aletra itself assembled its first model, the L8, at the Handal factory in Purwakarta, West Java.

Aletra is said to be reaching the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) target of 40 percent in the next few years.
