It depresses me to see how many people I had previously considered good acquaintances or even maybe friends are bloodthirsty warmongers over this crap.

I thought that everyone had learned their lesson with Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria and every other quagmire that the US has been involved in for the past several decades but no, I'm now realizing that these people would still kill me without blinking.

What will they achieve in the remaining three years?! In the "best case" scenario, they'll kill, say, a million Muslims, maybe even 10 million.
And then what?!
One day they'll lose power...
And after them, the whole world will hate America.

It’s very interesting to see how people really don’t care about killings done inside their religion, but once some of their own are killed by some of a different faith, everyone gets mad. The same goes for race.

When Muslims kill Muslims, nobody cares (Sudan, Iran -Iraq war, etc.)
When Christians kill Christians, nobody cares (Ukraine war)
But if Muslims kill Christians (terror attacks), there is outrage.
Or if Christians kill Muslims (US-Iran), or Jews kill Muslims (Gaza), there is outrage again.

The same applies for race. If whites kill blacks, or vice-versa, everyone sees racism, imperialism, uncivilized brutes, or whatever justification to fit their narrative.

But when whites kill each other, or when blacks kill each other, nobody cares.

In the end, most Muslims are killed by Muslims, and most Christians are killed by Christians. Most blacks are killed by blacks, and most whites are killed by whites.

But everyone always cries about religious wars or religious persecution, and about racism, colonialism, or being invaded by illegals, while ignoring local wars that kill many more people.
