A pipeline is just as exposed to a missile or drone attack across its thousand mile journey as the ships are through Hormuz' 20 miles.At the moment there is no such physical project. But there is the will and a project in the hands of Qataris and Turks.
Discussions to revive the long-stalled Qatar-Turkey gas pipeline project have resurfaced following significant political shifts in the region, particularly after the fall of the Assad regime in Syria.
Before Syrian war, it was the main project of Turkish and Qatari sides. But the war in Syria put the brakes on it. (It is rumoured that Saudis and UAE were against this project at the time)
Recently Turkiye, Qatar and Jordan have been meeting to bring the project back in to life.
