Retaliation was inevitable. Iran will want to regain this loss of prestige.

Last Thursday evening, in Tel Aviv, a man was said to be a 45-year-old Israeli, whom media reports said was a senior official in the Israeli Mossad.
A video clip purporting to show the moment the killing of a man described by Iranian media as a senior Mossad official named Fahmi Hinnawi has spread, as internet users speculate that the assassination may be an Iranian retaliation in response to the assassination of the chief nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

According to an unconfirmed report by the Iranian state-controlled Press TV channel, the murdered Mossad officer was said to have been shot in Tel Aviv after 15 bullets were fired at a car he was driving when his car stopped at a red traffic light.

The attackers reportedly dispersed quickly without a trace. Several videos circulating on social media show a parked car in the middle of the road and a massive presence of law enforcement personnel.

Scenes captured at the scene of the accident were shared online, showing a car door with multiple bullet holes, with users claiming to show the car in which Hinnawi’s alleged murder took place.

According to Iranian media, some reports claimed that the dead man was the victim of a family quarrel.

There was no official comment from Tel Aviv on the reports, and no information about the shooting of the Mossad officer has appeared in the Israeli media.

Reports of the alleged killing of Henafi, along with speculation by social media users of Iranian retaliation, came shortly after the assassination of the prominent Iranian nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in a suburb of Tehran last week, and Iran described the killing as a “terrorist attack.” Blame Israel for killing the world. ”

Meanwhile, other media reports denied the story of the assassination of the Mossad agent, and said that the killed Palestinian citizen was killed inside the Palestinian homeland in light of the rampant murder crimes and the Israeli police dropping out due to the presence of Palestinians in those areas, and that he was killed in shooting from another person due to a material disagreement between them.

The “Arab 48” website stated that “the young man” Fahmi Al-Hinnawi was killed in a shooting in the village of Jatt, and that medical teams found the body of the 44-year-old, at Genton Junction, Street 40 at the entrance to the Palestinian city of Lod.

It is noteworthy that some analysts believe that the pro-Iranian media is promoting the story of the killing of a senior Mossad official, with the aim of calming the anger at home and making an imaginary victory for the Tehran regime after the successive security slaps that killed a number of the most important men of the mullahs’ regime.
