From 1st to September 2021, held in Cyprus, small-scale special operations exercise, codenamed "PTOLEMY / 2021." During the first week of the exercise, Special Forces teams from the Republic of Cyprus and the Arab Republic of Egypt are jointly trained in special operations items.
During the first week of the exercise, the participating personnel fired adaptation shots with various weapons, sniper precision shots, and attended training in First Aid items on the battlefield. In addition, the Special Operations Teams participate in combat training within residential areas, while the Management and Control Teams started the planning process for the final phase of the exercise.
From the beginning of the exercise, the high level of training and operational capabilities of the participating staff emerged, as well as the opportunity to enhance interoperability.
