Poland is ready to close the deal for K239 Chunmoo.
Negotiations with Korean partners went pretty well and on 17 th of October our Defence Minister is flying to Korea.
Deal should be simmilar to the K2 one. First units will arrive to Poland in 2023, we are buying it with large ammount of ammunition and partially transfer of technolgy and service.

It can fire 130 mm non-guided rockets (20 rockets to each pod), 227mm non-guided rockets (6 rockets to each pod), and 239mm guided rockets (6 rockets to each pod). On November 4 in Warsaw, with the participation of the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak, an executive agreement was concluded related to the acquisition of K239 CHUNMOO MLRS from the Republic of Korea.


The subject of the first executive contract, worth USD 3.55 billion net, concluded between the State Treasury – the Armaments Agency and the Korean entity Hanwha Aerospace, is the delivery of 218 CHUNMOO K239 multiple rocket launcher modules along with logistics and training packages, ammunition reserve, including several thousand missiles and the manufacturer’s technical support.


The delivery dates are planned for the years 2023-2027, and the deliveries of the first 18 CHUNMOO K239 launchers, integrated with Polish JELCZ vehicles, communication systems and the Polish integrated combat management system TOPAZ, together with ammunition, will be completed in 2023. Importantly, the delivery in the assumed date of the above military equipment will also enable the achievement of basic combat readiness by the first battery K239 CHUNMOO by the end of 2023."

I almost forgot to mention that the first Homar-K was released because of the FA-50 GF, haha.

This is the same shape as the previously revealed Chunmoo KTSSM-II launcher. This means that Homar-K will also have a Tactical Ballistic Missile capability.

The ship carrying the Korean-assembled Homar-K departed today and will be delivered to Poland in mid-August. Only the first three will be assembled in South Korea, after which the remaining launchers (215 units) and the Jelcz 8x8 will be assembled locally in Poland.

Now it's Poland's turn.

The CTM-290 is a variant of the KTSSM-II and is intended for international export.

You cant compare us to US army. They need to transport all their equipment. We will have to fight with our neighbour and we will never have air force capabilities as US do this is the way War in Ukrainę also change our strategic plans. Before the war we planned to let russian in and fight on our ground. Now we know that we CANT let russian in. We have to destroy as much as we can from large distance and then fight on their territory just to avoid destruction to civilians from orcs.

Actually story goes little different.

Currently we are building 6 division strong land forces. Each div contains 4 brigades (heavy, two med, wheeled). Each brigade build from 4 battalions. And battalions are big. 58 vehicles each.
Each brigade will have own MLRS batalion (called "dywizjon artylerii rakietowej" (DAR) in polish). Each such DAR will have 16 MLRS systems plus 150 other supporting vehicles and trailers.

Currently plans are calling for 28 DAR (28 x 18) Homar-K (Korean Chunmoo K239) will land at brigades, Homar-A on higher levels.

Urban Mine, Chocopie, I see you both are Korean. Can any of you confirm or deny that Korea is currently planning to develop 300mm missiles for the Chumoo MLRS, instead of building 400mm missiles?

No, we are not planning to start World War III. We just plan to win it.

We have open contracts for the purchase of 288 Homar-K - K239 - and 486 Homar-A - HIMARS. Together with the 20 HIMARS we've already bought, that's 506 HIMARS. So after all purchases, in one salvo we will have 576 containers for K239 and 506 containers for HIMARS.

In addition, the purchase of the Langusta launcher is planned. Originally, it was said that Turkish KHAN missiles would be placed on them. Currently, however, this will probably be limited to 122mm caliber rockets only. It was probably decided that expensive guided missile artillery was enough for us, and we needed to strengthen the artillery at shorter ranges. After all, we plan to have only about a thousand self-propelled howitzers of 155mm caliber (I don't remember the exact numbers here), so they need to be reinforced with Langusta launchers.
