For a country that makes its own tanks, aircraft and ships, a family of capable off road and on road chassis and engine setup can't be that hard. Tatra is basically living its best life at this time, especially in the defence market.

Is anyone knows why is FNSS developing two different 6x6 and 8x8 vehicles? What is the main difference between PARS and PARS IZCI?(Other than design)
FNSS seems to be focusing on PARS IZCI lately. They were constantly updating the PARS design and that was interesting enough (In the meantime Otokar only updated the Arma once) but now they seem to dropped the regular PARS and decided to go with PARS IZCI.(That could be entirely for marketing though)

Mad max style of warfare works in Chad and in the Sahara. This type of warfare also humiliated Gaddafi's modern Libyan army. Irony is that the army was led by Haftar himself.

Some Chadian rebels did a border incursion to Libya, reportedly lost and retreated, afterwhich Chadian army hit them with a double whammy. Chadians and LNA didn't fight.

Well when Otokar was the choosen company to develop ALTAY they also came up with the TULPAR which has different configurations, TULPAR-S (Amphibious) and ALTAY AHT (specially designed for Asymmetric threats) all those vehicles were designed by the same team with a concept in mind.
All our tracked vehicles no matter IFV, APC or SPAAG etc. could've been based on the TULPAR, this kind of standardization, compatibility, and interchangeability within the Land Forces would gave us huge advantages in terms of spare parts, maintenance, training and interoperability.
Thankfully the Navy and Air Force is thinking ahead, while our Land Forces is turning into Tarhana corbasi unfortunately. Even though Türkiye is considered a Land Power.

Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan:
"From July to December 2023, the Turkish 8x8 Arma wheeled vehicle with the VN-11 combat module manufactured in China will be tested.
-According to the results of military use, the Armed Forces specialists will make a decision on the suitability of "Arma" for the tasks performed by the Ground Forces.
-From May 15 to 30, 2023, experimental military use of the 8x8 "BARYS" vehicle was carried out. According to the results, it was found that the shortcomings identified during the previous experimental military use were eliminated only in the basic chassis, while the shortcomings in the combat module were not eliminated.
-These disadvantages affect military use. "Barys" was returned to "KPI" LLP for elimination of deficiencies.
-The "Barys" CBM does not float on water, it has deficiencies on the level of protection, maneuverability, speed characteristics and overall dimensions. This significantly limits the tasks that must be performed.
In order to increase the firepower of armored wheeled vehicles, due to the use of combat modules with A 100mm cannon and an anti-tank missile complex with A firing range of up to 5 km, Arma vehicles will continue testing.
Kazakhstan's new armored vehicle tender is allegedly worth 4.5 billion dollars.
Looks like KZ tender is in the bag, or at least close to being in the bag. The overall lack of progress in the field of turrets are still biting us in the rear though.

In short KPI, a local company, seems to spread rumors about Arma, including the leak of the alleged sinking incident - that turned out to be a part of the test. Also claiming that their product Barys is not inferior to Arma and 40% cheaper. Moreover the same company, has rejected a request made by MoD to test their vehicle with the combat module. Nor they have attempted to solve the deficiencies in overall, but swept them beneath the rug hoping to be privileged at the tender.
Barys does not float, they haven't attempted to fix that, nor offers 100mm turret as required by the tender. According to the interview, they also seem to fail at providing earlier orders as required, not equipping wheeled armored vehicles with requested combat modules at the guaranteed pace.
In short; Kazakstan MoD bashing a local company KPI, in all aspects they could. Apply cold water to the burnt area, KPI. Hoped to see the same from Turkish MoD.

It was apparent that there were some foul play with that so called report from a month or two ago. Pity. Always the same with Paramount, can never do it the right way.
Per this 100mm gun thing, maybe they'll opt for a Chinese copy of the Russian turret as they don't want to get the BMP-3 turret like UAE did? Also keeps Otokar's name clear of any future business with Russia.

ZBD-004 with the mentioned turret. Don't know about the dimensions, but shouldn't be too hard for Otokar to handle it. Turret is probably a downgrade compared to what Otokar usually offers, but should be cheaper and keep the Kazakhs happy.
