In a recent announcement, the U.S. Army have kickstarted the competitive prototyping effort for its Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS) program. The Army recently approved requirements for the FTUAS program, which looks to find a replacement for its Shadow drones.
Delegates at UAV Technology USA 2022 will hear more about the new procurement effort from Major General Walter T. Rugen, Director, Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team, U.S. Army Futures Command, who is set to deliver a keynote briefing at the event.
Major General Walter T. Rugen will be presenting on "Upgrading Current Platforms Through the FTUAS Program", covering:
- Leading the Future Tactical UAS (FTUAS) program to replace the RQ-7 Shadow
- Working with PEO Aviation and Army Aviation Centre of Excellence for a coordinated upgrade process
