Are you tired … 🇰🇵
- of North Korean military parades every week?
- of fat Kim Jong Un clapping on the balcony?
- of skinny soldiers marching like robots?
- of Soviet-style goose steps?
- of ass old military equipment from the 60s?

Are you interested … 🇰🇷
- in a South Korean military parade?
- how free Koreans celebrate a show of force?
- in marching soldiers in downtown Seoul?
- in latest ROK defense equipment under skyscrapers of a megacity?
- in L-SAM air defense, Hyunmoo-V „monster“ ballistic missile, supersonic AShM and more?

Watch live on YT on 9th 26th the ROK Armed Forces Parade 2023!

South Korea's Long-range Surface-to-Air Missile (L-SAM), developed to target North Korean ballistic missiles, is set to make its first public appearance during an upcoming military parade in central Seoul on Sept. 26.

Korea's Armed Forces Day is Oct.1.

The Korean missile interceptor, a crucial component of Korea's missile defense triad alongside the Hyunmoo-V ballistic missile, will be showcased along with other advanced weaponry Korea has developed in recent years, including the country's first homegrown supersonic fighter jet, the KF-21, and a light armed helicopter (LAH).
The parade will also feature different types of drones, including those designed for surveillance and others used for precision targeting in combat. These drones will be presented as part of the newly established drone operation command.

The military parade, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Korean military, marks the first such event in a decade.

Previously held every five years since 1998, the parade was suspended in 2018 during the Moon Jae-in administration's efforts to improve relations with North Korea.

Instead, the ceremony was downsized to an air show.

The Defense Ministry says that this year's military parade will be larger and more advanced than the last one held in 2013.

Around 300 soldiers from the Eighth U.S. Army will be marching alongside the Korean military for the first time this year to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the military alliance between the two countries.

Special forces personnel from both the Korean and U.S. military will participate in sky diving demonstrations, and seven U.S. fighter jets, including F-16s, will take part in a large-scale aerial display.

The granddaughters of Mark Wayne Clark, the UN Command's commander-in-chief who signed the armistice that ended the fighting of the 1950-1953 Korean War, have been invited to attend the parade.

The Korean Defense Ministry has announced that approximately 6,700 servicemen will participate in the military celebration, showcasing 340 pieces of military equipment, including the self-propelled howitzer K9 Thunder, battle tank K2 Black Panther and unmanned submersibles.

Korean infantry will be equipped with advanced gear and weaponry developed under the Warrior Platform, a project aimed at modernizing combat troops.

For the first time, 21 fighter jets of six different models, including F-35As, will fly in formation.

The ceremony will commence at Seoul Air Base at 10 a.m., while the military parade is scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. along the route between Gwanghwamun and Namdaemun.

The Yoon Suk Yeol administration, now in its second year, has prioritized strengthening Korea's military capabilities, including the aggressive export of Korean advanced defense products.

According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Korea's defense product exports reached $17 billion last year, a significant increase from $7 billion in 2021 and nearly six times the annual average of $3 billion between 2010 and 2020.

The combined exports of the four major defense contractors — Hanwha, Korea Aerospace Industries, LIG Nex1 and Hyundai Rotem — accounted for 34 percent of their total revenue in the first half of this year, a significant increase compared to 16.6 percent in 2022.

The Republic of Korea celebrates it’s 76th Armed Forces Day with a massive parade on Oct. 1, 2024 in the heart of Seoul City.

Hopefully this year without heavy rainfalls. For the grand air display of helicopters and fighter jets the Black Eagles rehearsed their T-50s over the heads of surprised citizens at Gwanghwamun Square area:

KF-16, FA-50, F-35A, F-15K are also rehearsing in the same city area with fly-overs:

More clips in 4K, man, the air power show above skyscrapers, mountains and the main royal palace will be epic!!!

It will rain again this year, although not as much as last year. It's fun to see air shows and military equipment, but I hope this government will stop doing such parades. It's not only about the budget used for the parade, but it's going to be hard for the soldiers who are mobilized for it. Also, there was news that military equipment for events like ADEX was not available because they were mobilized for the parade. Moreover, KF-21 will be included in the air show again this time, so I hope it will be left untouched until next year's ADEX. I think it's a waste to mobilize aircraft that are still under development for the event.
If the Ministry of National Defense applies for a large-scale event budget again this year, the Democratic Party will have to prevent it no matter what.

Yes, back in the days they did the grand parades every 5 years, now the 2nd time shortly after.

The actual administration is cutting R&D budgets for defense projects (rumors of stopped KUS-X drone project). But PPP's voter base is in a downfall, Pres. Yoon‘s approval rate at lowest 20%, North Korea flying trash balloons and missiles without pause: They desperately want to flash a show of force!

S. Korea to showcase Hyunmoo-5 ballistic missile on Armed Forces Day ceremony for 1st time

SEOUL, Sept. 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will show off a new ballistic missile and other key weapons systems on the 76th founding anniversary of its armed forces this week, officials said Sunday, in an apparent warning against North Korea's provocations.

The Hyunmoo-5, known to be able to carry a warhead weighing 8-9 tons, will be displayed during both the ceremony at Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, just south of the capital, and a military parade in downtown Seoul on Tuesday, according to the officials.

"We showcased the Hyunmoo-4 for the first time during the Armed Forces Day ceremony last year," one of the officials said. "This year we will showcase the Hyunmoo-5, which is much more destructive than the Hyunmoo-4."

South Korea has been developing a series of Hyunmoo missiles, including ballistic and cruise-type ones, as centerpieces of Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation (KMPR), an operational plan to incapacitate the North Korean leadership in case of a major conflict.

The Hyunmoo surface-to-surface missile is considered one of the key assets in Seoul's three-axis deterrence structure against the North's nuclear and missile threats.

During the ceremony, the military will also showcase the U.S. B-1B bomber for the first time at Seoul Air Base in the allies' apparent show of force amid heightened tensions over North Korea's nuclear and missile threats.

The B-1B Lancer is a four-engine supersonic strategic bomber with a maximum speed of Mach 1.25 and a flight range of up to 12,000 kilometers. It can reach the Korean Peninsula within two hours from the Guam base.

9-axle instead of 10-axle TEL as shown in CGI. Still a beast, the diameter of the cold launch tube is massive 😳
