A 29-Year-Old U.S. Army Sergeant, Joseph Schmidt was Arrested earlier today by Federal Agents after arriving in San Francisco from Hong Kong where he is reported to have worked for the last 3 Years with Chinese Intelligence Agencies in order to provide them with National Security Information; Schmidt, who was formerly in the 109th Military Intelligence Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Western Washington where he had access to Secret and Top Secret Intelligence, has been Charged with “Attempt to Deliver National Defense Information” as well as “Retention of National Defense Information.”

Former Soldier Indicted for Attempting to Pass National Defense Information to People’s Republic of China
A former U.S. Army Sergeant whose last duty post was Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in western Washington was arrested today on an indictment charging him with two federal felonies: attempt to deliver national defense information and retention of national defense information.
