Sound that it makes while approaching at 0:27. Sound of loitering munitions with rotary engines became physiological weapon during Karabakh war. If they can be deployed and used in en masse after a while when enemies hear the sound even its not targeting them, will freak out. Its can be very difficult to spot them. In a war we should even consider making an variant that flies around and generates sounds for hours.

The SSB posted trial footage of Alpagu Block-1 with live warhead.

but I think Alpagu Block-2 in also in trials and they haven't shared any footage of block-2 version yet.

Today's test is just one piece of the puzzle. Better specs, different platforms, etc'll be the complement to the this puzzle family..

It would be interesting to see what block III and IV will give us. Will be interesting to see the changes of design and size.
All i expect is Block IV being recoverable with a hook.
This is a great opportunity for naval assets which can not host helicopters or VTOL UAVs, these drones will multiple their observation capabilities and boost ISR missions.

Canister launch is much more convenient than a catapult launch.

I wonder if they will experiment with concept like Raytheon Coyote's C-UAS UAS block. It was successfully tested against class 1 and 2 (U.S. military UAS groups) UAVs.

Coyote Block 2 uses COTS parts like commercial model rocket Aerotech motors and one micro jet engine.

We can develop similar systems with experience from Kargu family.

A small review of our operations in Syria, Libya and Karabag.
The emphasis is on the importance of EW but small some technical data about MAM-L is also given.
I was suprrized to read that MAM-L has a 4-quadrant IR sensor for the guidance. My impression were that it had a full IIR.
These 4-quad sensors are really cheap and does a good job. Also, MAM-L seem to have GPS guidance for long range strikes.

Similar concept can be done under short time against small drones using bundled industrial lasers. Specialized military lasers cost a lot. Commercial lasers can be solution for the current terrorist UAV threats in the field. It can be scaled as it improves. Akıncı and Aksungur going to generate a lot of power. It can carry much more powerful laser. Airborne laser with the stabilizing systems, sensors, etc can be extremely accurate.

One another possible use example. Terrorists use tarp curtains held together with ropes and metal sheets to prevent UAVs. You can't just shoot them either as it can danger civilians. Technically you can burn the rope or cut hole in the tarp, and even in the thin metal sheet. Since its a stationary target, laser cut time shouldn't be an issue. Current effective range can be a problem though as UAV will have to stay in low altitude.

It might be useful against kamikaze drones but soon UAVs will carry air-to-air missiles it will be useless against heavy tactical, MALE, and HALE UAVs. I guess with a 20kw laser system like the Tubitak Bilgem laser you can reach up to 5km depending on the quality of the hardware and atmospheric conditions. The total power requirement will be around 25-30kw which means only Aksungur and Akıncı can carry a 20kw laser and maybe Anka. A 5kw laser with a range of up to 1.5km can be integrated into TB2 with an improved engine.

Win-win partnership. Ukrspecexport gets to modernize, develop new, exportable products with Baykar. Baykar enters new strategic fields. Baykar not only going to diversify their platform offerings but also systems offered under these platforms.

There is engines that will be used for Baykar platforms and non-Baykar platforms/systems. Important to manufacture these engines in Turkey for many reasons. Baykar as an company having ability to control their supply chain including the engines, will allow flexibility to improve their products in areas that would be normally limited.

Developing and building an cost effective guided ammunition family. Baykar and Ukrspecexport can develop munitions that are tailored for the UCAVs and missile systems that can work integrated with Baykar UCAVs.

EW systems is very interesting to me. Ukraine has an serious radar, EW infrastructure left from USSR. Baykar does develop, build EW resistant subsystems. Maybe with this partnership Baykar will develop its own EW subsystems? Also ground based systems?
