THE US has been warned of failing to adequately prepare for a military conflict with China.

Former General Jack Keane insisted that the USA was outgunned and outmanned when it came to fighting China. While speaking on Fox News, Mr Keane insisted more money needed to be put into the military preparing for a potential conflict. He insisted that US maritime fleets and bases were vulnerable and the US needed to utilise its many deterrents to ensure China knows they are serious.

However, he did question whether the Biden administration would stand up to China.

Mr Keane said: "It remains to be seen whether the US is going to be willing to confront China.

"They are about to finish an exhaustive staff review on China.

"I think we will see the results of that because they will make some public disclosures about it.

"I believe it is going to take a whole Government approach, with our allies to stand up to China's aggression.

"If we put the military effective conventional deterrents in the region, that we desperately need, the Chinese will clearly get that message.

"The money is surprisingly in the budget to do some of that.

"We are outgunned and outmanned, our bases are vulnerable and our maritime fleet vulnerable.

"We need missile defence to protect the bases and we need offensive long-range missiles to put Chinese offensive missiles at risk.

"We also need missiles to take down their maritime fleet as well.

"That needs to be done.

"We are going to look closely and see if the Joe Biden administration comes through with that."

Political commentator Anna Paulina Luna, a former congressional nominee for the Republican Party, said on Newsmax insisted Beijing wanted a war with the US.

She insisted that China was already attacking the US in other forms.

This comes as Joe Biden intends to resume trade talks with China after the two nations have had minimal contact.
