*PAKISTAN NAVY SEIZES HUGE CACHE OF NARCOTICS IN ARABIAN SEA*
Under the ambit of Maritime Security Operations, Pakistan Navy Ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK conducted a joint major counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at approximately USD 750 million.
While undertaking routine patrolling, a suspicious boat was intercepted and boarding operation was conducted. During the course of investigation, over 2800kgs of narcotics was recovered from concealed compartments onboard the vessel.
This remarkable achievement reflects Pakistan Navy’s sustained surveillance, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to regional maritime security, global peace, and the fight against illicit trafficking at sea.
Upon the successful execution of the counter-narcotics operation, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended the officers and crew of PNS HUNAIN and PNS YARMOOK for their professionalism, vigilance, and dedication. He emphasized that Pakistan Navy remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard national maritime interests and good order at sea while continuing to contribute towards the safety and security of the global commons.
