My opinion on this.
I think the Turkic World is at a turning point. Some certain entities are fearing its rise. That's why you're seeing so many social media bots trying to sow division.
At the same time, this is the weakest Russia has ever been. They're desperate for allies, but they also realise that their future is a Turkic one. They've lost the Europe game and they can't fully trust China. There's only one path they can take.
The real question is, are they going to try to assert themselves or would they join as an equal? If they can make concessions and gain our trust then long term this would be of great benefit and essentially most of the Turkic World would be in a sense, united.
We just don't want them to meddle and cause a mess, so we should be cautiously optimistic rather than jumping straight in.
The Ukraine war was a big blunder. They pretty much exposed themselves as an expired superpower. Other than nukes and some space programs they are seriously lagging behind. They've made some strides late in the war, but it's too late.
At the same time the US is becoming an expiring superpower too. Yes, they have some of the best tech, but the world is rapidly changing. The US is looking more and more like a relic of the past, the cracks are forming and no amount of "AI innovation" is going to save them.
Europe on the other hand is completely toothless.
People always point at middle powers and multi polar world, but in reality it's more of the same. It's just new superpowers emerging rather than some completely new paradigm.
After China, a Turkic Union is the top candidate as a "superpower". Russia knows this.
