The Russian Federation is deploying 9K720 Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems near Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) - a group of independent Russian investigators.
“On January 11, a video from TikTok, filmed in the Far East, was published on Twitter and viewers recognized the 9K720 Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system. Despite the fact that the characteristic eight-axle launchers 9P78-1 and / or transport-loading vehicles (TZM) 9T250-1 are covered with a tarpaulin, they can be recognized by their contours," the message reads.
It is noted that the same, only less neatly covered cars are visible in another video filmed in the Sverdlovsk region and posted online on January 13. It also depicts kungs on three-axle KAMAZ chassis - probably other vehicles of the Iskander-M complex (9T248, 9S552, 9S920-1 or 9U91). In addition, the video shows road trains with KamAZ-44108 truck tractors and flatbed semi-trailers. Obviously, they are used to transport long (about 7 m) missiles of the complex.
In addition, the transfer of the 107th missile brigade to Ukraine is mentioned in the comments to one of the videos with military equipment.
The CIT notes that the transfer of the Iskander-M OTRK is not something new - last spring, researchers already noticed Iskanders in the Voronezh region, probably the 119th missile brigade from the 41st combined arms army. Later, they were also examined on satellite images of the Pogonovo test site south of Voronezh.
“The important thing here is that such a brigade is an army-level means, which means that most likely, not separate battalion-tactical groups are being transferred from the Eastern Military District, but significant forces of the armies stationed there,” the investigators said.
