STARK performs drone swarms in Bundeswehr Exercise

The Bundeswehr has successfully continued its testing of AI-enabled drone swarms. STARK participated in the trials with its loitering munition Virtus and its command and control software Minerva. Together with the Vector reconnaissance drone from Quantum Systems, STARK contributed to the successful execution of the exercise.
The focus of the trials was the integration of reconnaissance drones, software, and loitering munitions into a recce-strike operation, in order to significantly reduce the time between detection and engagement. The objective is to provide the Bundeswehr with a scalable, operational capability by 2027. The results of the latest tests demonstrate that the systems perform reliably in battlefield conditions.
With Virtus, STARK is pursuing a modular approach that enables rapid adaptation to different operational scenarios as well as seamless integration into existing Battle Management Systems.
“Networked, AI-enabled weapon systems are already decisive for the battlefield today” said Josef Kranawetvogl, Senior Vice President at STARK. “Together with our partners, we are working to seamlessly integrate reconnaissance and strike capabilities in order to close critical capability gaps.”
The Bundeswehr exercise underscores the importance of industrial partnerships and close collaboration with the armed forces. STARK sees itself as a key partner for the rapid scaling and operational readiness of unmanned systems.
