Opposition forces left Hama because the distance between the advance spearhead and the rest of the forces was growing, which put a logistical strain on the attacking force. This will give time reinforcements to catch up and there was constant advance for the last several days there has to be a stop for a little rest.

Fucking Julian at it again lol. This is why I never celebrate early in any military conflict. I dont know man if they get wiped out, I think finding arabs to kill other arabs in another future offensive is harder than being a Ukrainian recruiter pointing at civilian's gun point.

The Iranians have retaken Hama..... bloody shit

We did the same thing every single day during Al-bab and Afrin operations. It is called pinp-pong tactic. Leave the city when night falls as defence in the open field is easier. Cities are full of dangers. People were making fun of it on Twitter until they saw that city after city was falling like bricks.

The troops will be back tomorrow morning with a surprise and a lot of new land liberated.

Behind those words, are lessons to be aware of. I think it's called Ebb and flood.

The logistics is definitely worth worrying about, and some good points about defense in open being easier, but what we want is Russia abandoning SAA and joining FSA. Or that they pull out.

I don't think HTS is really trying , rn they seem more focused on using theirs momentum and and the disorganisation of Assad troops to advance quickly in the south
If they manage to reach the Euphrates in the east and take control of the Holmes-Tartus road in the south, it will be a huge success. Although even the current situation seems simply incredible - to take a city of two million in two days is simply fantastic!

Situation as of December 1st

I'm legitimately impressed. Did not think the Syrian rebels had it in them. They proved me wrong.

A huge arms depot in the Shah Najjar industrial zone fell into the hands of the opposition.

I doubt any of the FSA or HTS hav any training in using these. unless they're shipped back and hidden they can't really use them. In this theater

If they on the other hand got their hands on some ATGM, RPG and heavy machine gun or if type stuff it'd be easier to utilize them.

these weapons and aircraft should be transferred to turkey for safe guarding then if turkish army dont know how to oprate them we can bring people from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to train the rebels once their training is done and when the moment is right we can send them back to syria to shoot down some russian airplans
