No, the landing gear folds up into the space allocated besides the intakes. We'll just have to wait and see if they decide to develop a single seat fighter version with integrated 20mm cannon.

It's both indeed. AFAIK, it'll primarily be the new advanced jet trainer but it'll also fill the gap as a multipurpose light fighter.

Hurjet is going to be like the KAI T-50 which has various variants from trainer to light attack.

METU team has second place and
METU Cyprus got the third place.

The competition requires
HOGE performance of 4.000 m [ 13.115 ft ]
Speed of over 400 km/h [ 216 kt/h ]
Payload of over 250 kg [ 550 lb ]

I am not really sold.
