I guess all Vessels from China needs to be halted for inspection before allowing to sail anywhere near those cables. And this of course applies to Russia as well.

EDIT: renamed title to Tension in Baltic Sea.

Polish military stops Russian ship near power cable

Polish military has intervened against a ship from the Russian shadow fleet that was behaving suspiciously near a power cable to Sweden.
This is what Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote in a post on X.

"After the effective intervention of our military, the ship sailed to one of the Russian ports," he writes.

The ship performed a "suspicious maneuver" at the Swedish-Polish cable, Tusk writes.

The power cable is still working, reports the Polish electricity grid operator PSE, according to Reuters.

Since the invasion of Ukraine, several submarine cables and gas pipelines have been destroyed or otherwise damaged.
