The Ministry of Defense has put into operation another modern modular military town
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to implement military infrastructure development projects to ensure proper living conditions and service for Ukrainian defenders.
Thus, on December 6, the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a field camp of the modular type "Novooleksiyivka" was opened in the Kherson region. It is intended for units subordinated to the Command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carry out military service in the southern direction.
This town was commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and built by the 26th separate brigade of the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.
The report on the readiness of the facility for further operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was personally received by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during the celebrations on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The modular town "Novooleksiyivka" was built in a very short time, in just three months, because the construction of this facility began only in September this year.
The project was implemented in accordance with the best world practices. The Ministry of Defense, as the customer of the construction, focused on similar camps of our partners in the North Atlantic Alliance.
The military camp is fully autonomous, has everything necessary for life and communication services - electricity, water supply and sewerage and consists of 46 multifunctional modules. In particular, 24 of them are designed for accommodation of personnel, 4 - for food, 2 - for medical care, 5 - for engineering and technical support, 1 - for household needs and 7 modules have a special purpose.
For reference. The facility has a total area of 3.42 hectares, of which 790 square meters is residential area.
