I just want to share some usefull Tools and Tips.. maybe its usefull for some of you:


in old days I had Babylon Translator it was a great tool to translate text anywhere on the desktop today I would not use it (commercial trustable?)
now we have something for the webbrowser Chrome and Brave or Edge

this tool can translate from any language... I once tested it to translate kirgiz/kazakh written in kyrillic it was quite ok just select the Text to translate on the Website directly and click on the symbol that pops out after selecting a text

A tool I use on my computer is Everything... That little tool indexes your hard drive (you need to select them) and then you can fast search your computer for files!

Its extremely fast

I have experimented with some AI tools.. installed a local "chatgpt" and a picture generation ai

for Text generation an easy gpt tool is :

https://gpt4all.io/index.html very good with some cpu models
its an easy tool for text generation with one click installer for windows..

this one is also good.. you can run some good gpu models but you really need lots of vram and a good gpu

as an excample for koboldcpp I used this model:
wizard-vicuna-7b-uncensored-superhot-8k.ggmlv3.q5_K_M.bin

you need to finetune all settings for you graphics card for excample using cuda.. how much gpu layers how much cpu threads etc



for image generation a good choise is easy diffusion its quite simple

if you choose easydiffusion you should enable the beta channel for support of the new models



alsp a good choice is automatic1111 i did not use it but its also good..

a tip if you have windows you should have a username without space because some python libs dont like that else you will have headache!

this side provides models also the mega large gpt4 models ~50gb these ones are really serious but I could not run them due to lack of good graphic cards .. I do not know what is recommended for such 3 or 4 16gb cards?

something I did not get right is inpainting ..

using a picture and adding something into it.. this does not really work or I am doing it wrong!


depending on graphic width and height it and details pictures can be generated from one to 5 or more minutes

you need vram for speed cpu is not the key! 8 gb is not much my 1080 is ok for generating some pictures but not for text! there you should have a better card
