Behold, TN is finally reflecting some changes from the field to website. The preparations for the new era, 2 frigates and 2 FACs shifted to Training class, along with TCG Beykoz that used as a test-R&D ship before, and 2 Ay-Class submarines that one used to be a test platform for some years already.

This only indicates what is waiting for us ahead; Navy needs training platforms to catch up with the new orders. One Ay class for Test, another for Training and 2 FACs for training of new FAC personnel. TCG Beykoz for OPV training.

And now we are down to 15 frigates from last year's 16 with Istanbul's inclusion this year. Constructing next 3 I class ships back to back now make much more sense.

I demand a new TCG Yavuz asap... Hopefully one of the TF2000s are named after it.

Thats mean until 2026 we have only 15 frigates , which is low number for Turkiye .
But after 2026 our navy will be alot younger with 4 istanbul class and 4 modernised barbaros class .
Then we need 4 other Istanbul class which decision was taken to replace 4 old Gabya which dont have vls .
Thats mean by 2028 we will have :
4- barbaros
8- Istanbull
4- Gabya
(16 fringates with VLS )
-Then for blue navy and to protect our interests far away and to company our Anadoly and AC . 8-12 new Tf 2000 will be build after 2028.
Thats mean 20-24 major warships for Turkiye . This number will aslo be for submarines .

yep. Delays in army, army aviation and other aircraft are pretty much apparent in shipbuilding as well. I believe this is the lowest number of active duty major combatants we had since 70s. Hopefully rest of Istif Class won't be delayed.

well, it's an old design.

Nevertheless I think there could be something to this visit. Perhaps it's to show the usefullness of the Harriers.

Ministry of National Defense is responsible for design and performance; Our first 76/62 mm National Naval Gun, developed together with the Istanbul Shipyard Command under our General Directorate of Shipyards and MKE AŞ, was mounted on TCG AKHİSAR (P-1220) and made ready for port and sea tests.

Can MKE do anything by itself? It’s not even that good at actual production of already designed stuff.

MKE WINS WARS by making ammunition in millions, while other flashy defense tech companies win twitter likes for a few prototypes that won't last more than a few days in a real peer war.

Artillery and men firing at each other is how wars are fought once TB2s, jets, tanks, missiles etc. run out. Russia was preparing the biggest stockpile of tanks and missiles on the planet since WW2. For 70 YEARS! They even used up the WW2 era tanks. Now soldiers are back in trenches shooting each other as in WW1.

MKE has improved significantly the last few years, you can't make a 180° over night especially not when the company was mismanaged the last decades.
