Look at this beaut. Savarona, under navy command since 2019, she was renovated beginning from last year and made its first sea trials this week. Per navy, she will be used for training first and then as a museum ship under its own power, visiting various ports around the country. Looks like she will no longer be used as part of the presidential protocol.

And a video. TCG Istanbul saluting the Savarona s such a proud scene for me. And second Hisar Class P1221 Koçhisar is being fitted out at the background. Can't see P1220, we haven't seen much of her since her main gun was fitted back in april. Behind Koçhisar, another Istif class is in construction in the drydock.

Last tidbit, visible on one of its life rings, Savarona now have the hull number A-576 in the navy service, after A-574 TCG Durmuş and A-575 TCG Ekmekçi support ships.

P-1220 should be farther on right of the video getting ready for the first sea trial, and the one in the dock should be 2nd ship (3rd of the overall program) of Pakistani Navy being constructed here at Naval Shipyard. The image is low in quality but i seem to notice it has an ESM module on top of the mast that is available on PNS Khaibar, not in any of Hisar Class. Or alternatively could be one of the the Ada-Class going through maintenance.

A-576 is a strange choice, i expected they would follow the line of Cezayirli Hasan Paşa. And they don't print the pennant number on the hull, such a good and considerate move.

Wasn't Khaibar launched in 2022? I remember seeing her much more "ready" than this. Bridge design also looks like Istif. But also true that 3 Istifs shouldn't be here as they are built by TAIS. Could it be the 5th Istif perchance

Isn't TCG Akar still in service? Maybe A581 to replace the old Çınar's number.

It was launched but the ships visit drydock regularly for fitting out, the last one is more of an inspection before sailing so i took it for the one.

It is impossible to see 6th ship (Izmit) there, i think it will be fitted out in the shipyard it is being constructed (Should be Anadolu, and i think they have a Dry Dock, if no they will utilize Sedef's, or as a last resort, benefitting from Naval Shipyard like others). While Ukranian Milgem has visited Naval Shipyard for fitting out at least once. Could also be first ship of Ukranian Milgem but again doubting because i have just seen it in RMK.

She could have got A-579/7 both owned by training ships. This indicates Navy is planning further and real training ships too. A-576 is a strange choice, could they have repurposed some old lifebuoys from the warehouse? :)

True true, all 7 are to be built private. Can't be the F-516 from Anadolu as well, first block was delivered in november 23, probably outline is just now becoming visible.

Navy deserves and needs a tall ship to go along with Savarona, won't change my mind... Could probably employ something like Anadolu built for Qatar as well. Doubt Savarona will be a good training ship.

F-516 and rest will be built, erected and launched by private shipyards and fitted out in shipyards whom responsible for the process, so even if they visit Naval Shipyard it will merely be for drydocking but i highly doubt this*. Since they have little experience on dry docking process of combatants (the sonar dome makes it hell and requires special set of supports). As far as i know Anadolu shipyard has no dry dock, so they are going to need a dry dock during installation of some wet-end systems.

I agree on the tall ship and new training ships especially the latter is urgently needed, Qatar's training ships are good and nice but i have a feeling that we will derive a training ship out of the Milgem design. :)

After Anadolu became online, it was a matter of time. Finally. There's also a new, second marine infantry brigade now. Former 1. marine training regiment in İskenderun, Hatay was raised to brigade level.

The amphibious force organization we have been waiting for years is finally coming to fruition? I guess now we can finally see the Amphibious Armored and mechanized brigades. IMO, the appointment of rear admiral Serhat Sözbir, our last Amphibious Task Group Commander(The Amphibious Marine Infantry Brigade and the Amphibious Ships Command were already forming the Amphibious Task Group Command), as the Amphibious Corps Force Commander in Çanakkale; and on the other hand the appointment of Rear Admiral Ali Tuna Baysal, Commander of Gölcük Naval Main Base (One of the two most critical naval bases in terms of technical and maintenance services), as the Commander of the Mediterranean Region, are both important signs about how the modernization of the Turkish naval forces on a platform basis will proceed and the Blue Homeland policies in the coming period.

IMHO we need 1 more marine brigade. Amphibic Commando Corps should have 3 brigades. 1 in İzmir Foça, 1 in İskenderun and another one in Muğla.

He did make a video about Reis class subs, the guy is a former Submarine sailor. So this is not normal opinion from a youtuber...

This is pretty good content. I learned things about I-class that I didn't know before. I didn't understand why he said this ship is not built for anti-submarine warfare, though. That is obviously not the reason for existence of this ship, but he reached that conclusion after saying active sonar was pretty good.

Marine/Amphibious Corps will have 3 brigades:
"As for the establishment of an Amphibious Corps in Çanakkale, such a decision was taken in accordance with the developing and strengthening force structure of our Naval Forces. In order to reorganize the Marine Corps at the Corps level, which consists of three brigades, and to use amphibious elements effectively in different regions, the Amphibious Corps Command was established within the Naval Forces Command."

Oruçreis underway. 12(4x3) ASM launchers visible.
