During the interview, Nuland also said a few things about our recently production increasing of 155mm ammunition types, and mentioned their supply to Ukraine. We have recently reached the level we want in this area, I hope they will not rely on us for all of Ukraine's 155mm needs.

Was coming here to post this.

What's important is that people don't get too hyped about this being a "game changer", because it's not. Certainly, having another medium / long range, precision weapon in their arsenal will increase Ukraine's war capability. Furthermore, its relatively low cost of GLSDB makes it an attractive alternative to expensive cruise missiles that are in low supply, as well as GMLRS when the latter is out of range. Ultimately, Russia will be forced to keep more key assets further from the front, which makes their logistics chains longer and less efficient. GLSDB's 150km range is certainly going to be a welcomed addition to Ukraine's war arsenal.

Context is important, however. While eventually a significant supply of GLSDB with likely be available, Boeing only expects to manufacturer between 750-1000 units this year, with some of those going to the U.S. Army. Production will expand further in 2025 depending on orders. That means in 2024 it's reasonable to think Ukraine will get about half of the GLSDB produced, which means they'll receive roughly 375-500 units. That's not an insignificant quantity, but it's not a game changing quantity either. It's not as if they'll be plentiful in quanties numbering in the thousands like GMLRS is (and has been).

The way we should think of GLSDB is simply another option, that fills a range gap in the world of precision strike capability. Ukraine now has JDAM and AASM bomb kits (and soon the F-16s to use them property), APKWS rockets, GPS guided 155mm artillery shells and various forms of kamikaze drones, to perform short / intermediate range strikes. GMLRS and GLSDB will handle longer range strikes, while Storm Shadow / SCALP-EG and ATACMS (if they receive more) will handle the extremely long strikes. Ultimately, GLSDB allows you to save a cruise missile or an ATACM missile that would have otherwise been used to strike a Russian asset in the 100-150km range.

What I'll be most interested in seeing is what the Russian intercept rate of GLSDB is like. Russian air defense assets have routinely been challenged when it comes to intercepting GMLRS and cruise missiles (especially when combined with MALD decoys). A lot of Russia's BUK, OSA, Pantsir and Strela air defense systems might be forced back onto the Russian side of the border if they prove incapable of saving themselves from GLSDB strikes. That would present a significant challenge to the Russians as it would allow Ukrainian CAS greater ability to operate near the front, under the radar coverage of Russia's S-300 / S-400 systems.

All those terriotorial deals happened during times when we had non-stop wars. Because when countries are divided like that, you always end up with wars and conflict.

Ha ? Molotov-Ribbentrop was signed when both Germany and the Soviets were at peace
And “we” is for, we Europeans,

Ok, so the 'we' in:

" Yes, I remember the times when we had those types of win-win deals in Europe when two great powers (Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union) avoided war by dividing Poland between them. Oh, wait, they didn’t avoid war…"

referring to the Nazis and Soviets (both are European), who btw are not sick of wars, they're craving for it. So you are a NAZI?

. In the EU we travel freely between countries and we have the right to live and work in any EU country without restrictions, so there is no need to fight over borders anymore. If you like a specific place, you can move and live there.

This ‼️ ‼️

This is exactly why Putin launched his SMO, he wanted free travel and free economic links between Russia and Ukraine. Right now people from Russia could buy houses in Mariupol, own land in Berdyansk, and sunbathe in Crimea. While Ukrainians are free to go to Russia and find a job there. No stupid restrictions and stupid VISA whatsoever with stupid barbed-wired borders.

It's a noble undertaking that people fail to appreciate. Maybe not now, but younger generations will thank Putin for this great undertaking later on.

Present day Europeans are not Nazis (except for Putin and his supporters) or Soviets. We don’t want war, but when a Nazi like Putin tries to grab land, we will make sure that he is defeated.

You are trolling, so it is a waste of time responding to you now.

It's best for the three countries surrounding Ukraine to decide for themselves, Ukraine is facing an impending collapse, they're just counting time. A good leader lloks up to the benefit and interests of the country first and foremost. You know, many of what is now Ukrainian territory used to be part of Hungary, Poland and Romania not very long ago. They should make a deal with Russia that is, Russia should stop any advance pass Odessa and Kyiv. Poland could retake Lvov, Hungary could retake Transcarpathia and Romania could reclaim sovereignty over Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina.

That way everyone is happy and a major confrontation could be avoided between two opposing sides with nuclear weapons. In short Win-Win.
Poland and Romania do not have historical rights to this. The Crimean Tatars have a historical right, but the Crimean Tatars are now on the side of Ukraine, so no. I mean Crimean Tatar activists such as Mustafa Dzhemilev and Gulnara Abdullaeva.

As expected, European leaders including Putin’s friend Orban, approved the 50 billion aid package for Ukraine. This also sends a strong signal to Washington that the US must step up its game and approve the aid package for Ukraine.

To put the 50 billion euros grant by the EU in perspective, it should be noted that before the war Ukraine’s government total yearly spending was around 30 billion euros.

Russia thought that it could outlast Ukraine in a war because of Ukraine’s limited economic resources, but Ukraine’s bakers can easily support Ukraine as long as it takes in order to defeat Putin and his minions.

What an amazing footage. Spectacular drone work. Non existent Russian CIWS strikes again.

No wonder Aselsan's naval RCWS sell like hot cakes lately.

That 50 billion Euro macro financial package for Ukraine is going to be extremely helpful over the next 4 years. It's going to pay a ton of government costs, freeing the Ukrainians up to spend more money on weapons.

Next up for the EU is a 22 billion Euro weapons package, that will not only buy weapons directly for Ukraine, but will be used to reimburse EU countries that donate weapons from their own stockpiles, allowing them to be replenished with new equipment. The weapons package is expected to be voted on towards the summer.

Meanwhile, USA's $61 Billion usd package, consisting of $45 billion usd worth or weapons and $16 billion usd worth of macro financial aid, is still being negotiated by Congress.

Good job.

The Turkish navy seems to be completely left unrivaled in the Black Sea. I hope that the current status of the straits regime will remain in place until the 8 İstif class finishes construction. In this process, it is important that the Russian Black Sea fleet cannot transfer from other fleets, but very clever(!) western bureaucrats are trying to erode this regime!

Footage of Russian kamikaze Lancet drones striking two Ukrainian PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers made in Germany. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns have fairly good camouflage and were difficult to notice. The location and time of the Lancet drone strikes have not been reported. In the video, it is unclear what damage the Ukrainian Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns received. Please note that in the second video, the Lancet drone is armed with new ammunition; before reaching the target, it hits it with a cumulative jet or impact core at a distance.

Footage of an attack by Ukrainian naval drones on the Russian missile boat "Ivanovets" of project 12411. As can be seen in the video, the ship was attacked by several naval drones, probably about four, they were coming from different directions. The crew fired at the drones, but the available defenses on the ship were not enough to repel the attack. The video shows that the ship is being attacked at the location of anti-ship missiles and at the stern; one hole under the missiles is already on board. After several attacks, the ship tilted on one side and after another blow, a powerful explosion occurred on the ship. As shown in the video, the ship eventually sank. Judging by all the attacks of sea drones, equipment equipped with machine guns on ships is clearly not enough to protect against drone attacks, we need to look for other solutions.
