That is precisely the problem. There was no internal conflict before the CIA began supporting the Ukrainian opposition.

This is what Putin wants you to believe, that Ukrainians were living happily under a Russian puppet, but somehow they revolted because of Victoria Nuland.

The revolt would have happened with or without Western support, because people were fed up. They wanted Ukraine to joint the EU, and Yanukovich refused to move the country in that direction.

Ukrainians wanted change, and the pro Russian dictator prefered to kill his own people rather than stepping down. In the end, he fled to Russia. This is how legitimate he was.

Janukovič was ellected, he was not dictator.

A president who shoots his own people, and when he loses control, runs to a foreign country, is a dictator and a puppet of a foreign power at the same time.

Winning an election doesn’t give you the right to shoot peaceful protesters. When you do that, you become a dictator.

Footage showing the first strike by Russian FPV drones against a Ukrainian "Sky Sentinel" air defense turret. The video was filmed in the Kharkiv area. The automated "Sky Sentinel" turret is manufactured by the Ukrainian company Carmine Sky and is equipped with a 12.7mm M2 Browning machine gun. Operated by a human, the turret features a ballistic computer, a laser rangefinder, and computer vision capabilities; in automatic mode, the system selects and targets aerial threats. It is capable of intercepting aerial targets at a range of up to 2 km. The estimated cost of a single turret is approximately $150,000.

It's a mad, mad world. Russia is suffering a fuel shortage due to attacks on its refineries. As a consequence export of diesel fuel was suspended. The US is suffering high diesel prices due to its attacks on Iran cutting off crude supplies from the Gulf, presenting a risk to Republican candidates in the upcoming US elections. Trump claims that Putin has agreed to export diesel to the US. Where does the madness of two authoritarian leaders covering each other's backs lead to next?

Ukrainian authorities have decided to protect the bridges across the Dnieper not only by deploying air defense systems but also by installing anti-drone barriers. Anti-drone nets have already been installed on the Northern Bridge in Kyiv. It is worth noting, however, that such barriers will not be able to protect the bridge against jet-powered drones like the Geran-4 and Geran-5.

Majdan was not peaceful.

When Berkut started beating people, and government snipers began shooting, the protesters turned violent. Who could have imagined that?

It’s disgusting to see people still defending a thuggish government who used violence against its own people, only because they can’t let go of the Russian propaganda they have been fed with, even when faced with the truth.

Ukrainians don’t want to be Putin’s vassals. It should be obvious by now, but people like you still think Yanukovich was legitimate, because for you, propaganda is stronger than history itself.

The law is the law, even when it doesn't suit us. It is a very clear and widely known fact how the protests unfolded and who oversaw them. It is highly hypocritical to speak out against one side's propaganda while simultaneously twisting the truth and spreading the lies and propaganda of the other side. I am openly opposed to continuing the war "to the last Ukrainian," as well as the nonsense that Russia is the EU's mortal enemy. If EU politicians had been even remotely competent, all of this could have been avoided, and we would now be talking about our standard of living rising instead of plummeting.

Not so much a case of 'continuing the war to the last Ukrainian' but more a case of 'continuing the war to the last ruble' now. The draft 2027 Russian budget proposes a 27% increase in spending on the war and reductions in spending on health and education of around 7%. Additional taxes on business are planned. The budget deficit is expected to nearly double.

Putin has been warned by competent, well meaning, Russian bankers and economists that his projected war spending is unaffordable yet he will not heed advice. I think he will continue in his reckless actions until the national economy or national finances start to crack.

The first footage showing the combat use of the Russian KUB-10ME kamikaze drone in Ukraine. The video captures the KUB-10ME’s initial attack on a rare Ukrainian "Bastion-03" multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The "Bastion-03" is a Ukrainian system based on the Soviet 220mm "Uragan" MLRS; it features the launcher from the 9K57 "Uragan" mounted on a three-axle KrAZ-6322RA chassis.

Technical specifications of the KUB-10ME drone

❗️Last night, the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine was restricted.
Connectivity began to drop when moving at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. As a result, a number of critical missions were disrupted.

SpaceX likely took these measures at the request of the Trump administration. Also last night, when Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles, Ukraine did not receive intelligence regarding their launch— a failure that could have led to higher casualties.

Ukraine did not attack Russian oil refineries, yet Trump has already begun imposing sanctions on my country. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia have been eased.

Ukrainian attacks on the Russian oil industry continue. If Russia cannot repair its refineries as quickly as they are being taken down, Russia will have to import an increasing amount of fuel. Already when Ukraine had reduced Russian refining output by a reported 20%-30%, Russia could not supply the fuel to satisfy home market demand.

Apart from the disruption caused to private transport, an acute shortage of fuel is extremely disruptive to industry, agriculture, the commercial transport sector etc. Currently Russian output of refined fuel looks set to fall further unless Russia can find a way to better defend its refineries. Unless attacks on refineries fall, Russia's already weak economy will be weakened still further.

Former Ukrainian intelligence officer Alexander Mazur:

❝Western intelligence officers occupied an entire floor of their own at the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) headquarters. Even some SBU personnel were not permitted to enter that area.❞

"Between 2005 and 2010, Western intelligence personnel were granted access to the SBU’s most sensitive operational information."

"It was much like a series of 'business trips'—they would arrive, work for two weeks, and then return home."

In 2014, the US made the first provocative move by toppling the pro-Russian president. Yes, the Russians did invade Ukraine. However, the Russians did not fire the first shot.
Yes, and they were already meddling in Ukraine before that. Way before that. It's a fact often 'missed' in the West. Just like the media seems to have missed the conclusions of the 'Leipzig drone incident', that there were clear traces to Ukrainian involvement, according to US intel services... Not to mention MH17. We are all being bombarded by propaganda, from all sides. I think I am ready for a cabin in the woods now...

Invading your neighbour because you do not want it to fall under the influence of another power is not justifiable.

Ukraine was never going to invade Russia if it moved from being in Russia's sphere of influence to being in the US's/EU's sphere of influence. The invasion of Ukraine immediately pushed Ukraine deeply into the US's/EU's sphere of influence. It also pushed Sweden and Finland into the US's sphere of influence via those countries joining NATO as a reaction to the invasion. Hardly a useful result.

The Ukrainian military has, for the first time, evacuated a wounded soldier to the rear using a heavy-duty hexacopter—the "Gurzuf Defence," developed by the company SkyFall. The footage shows the hexacopter—specially equipped with systems designed to prevent swaying or the risk of flipping over in mid-air—transporting the soldier to safety. It is worth noting that this method of evacuation carries significant risk, given the prevalence of enemy interceptor drones. Previously, SkyFall unveiled the "StarGate," a heavy-lift drone featuring a medical capsule for evacuating the wounded, which boasts a payload capacity of approximately 150 kg.
