At the expense of the loan, Ukraine plans to build eight missile boats, buy two minesweepers, and create two naval bases.

Ukraine and the UK signed a framework agreement that provides for the allocation of a loan of £ 1.7 billion by London for the development of the fleet. According to Zerkalo Nedeli, the agreement was signed by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain Vadim Prystaiko.

Reportedly, Ukraine will receive a loan for 10 years. For this money, Ukraine plans to build eight missile boats, buy two minesweepers from Britain and create two naval bases in Ukraine.

As you know, agreements on the development of the Ukrainian Navy were reached a year ago - during the visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to London.

Recently in London, Ukroboronprom signed a cooperation agreement with the international group of companies Babcock International regarding the development of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The document provides for the joint implementation of Ukrainian naval projects
