They fall like a domino. The number of US troops in Afghanistan was very low since late 2014. So current withdrawal is more symbolic than real.
US could quietly reduce numbers but they decided to do it openly causing panic and fall of morale.
Seems like they wish to fall it as soon as possible.
It will end eventually, the VP as well as Ghani's are already leaving or planning to leave soon.Honestly this war has to end i think both sides need to come to the table.
Afghans have had enough of war let the country rebuild and heal. Both sides should be willing to compromise for peace.
It's in their interest, they don't have the will or the resources to fight an insurgency while increasingly in competition with China. The number of US troops in Afghanistan was very low since late 2014. So current withdrawal is more symbolic than real.

not a shame but strategic blunder if the talibs were left in piece they probably would not learn how the modern world function until today and they would be busy to organize governing until today. now they spent 20 years learning and adapting which will create even bigger strategic threats after their sucssessfull victory and consolidation. with possible money influx from china their relevance will gradually increase. It will end eventually, the VP as well as Ghani's are already leaving or planning to leave soon.
I'd say once Ghani is confirmed fled, the other provincial capital will surrender.
It's a shame really 20 years and trillions of $ comes into this .
I suggest you read SIGAR reports on Afghanistan (also called Afghan papers) on why throwing money in Afghanistan actually create problem for the donors.with possible money influx from china their relevance will gradually increase.
Moeny is trown into the river and contractors pockets, irrelevant for Afganistan today amd future, let the journalists in west dig around it.I suggest you read SIGAR reports on Afghanistan (also called Afghan papers) on why throwing money in Afghanistan actually create problem for the donors.
I'm a sceptic if the Talibs will ever transform into what people called a pragmatic and modern government. they are a fundamentalists. Even if they said not, and China will have to live with that and the possibilities it could create in China's border.

it depends on what outcomes they bring, especially to the irks of it's neighbors. from the look of it, not one is happy (except Pakistan).Antitaliban people shluld swallow the pill and accept talibans as best possible outcome from continous mess in last 50 years. World moves on and there are bigger issues in it.
